Stopping Microgynon and leaving the rest to nature..

Hey, first time poster here and I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance!

My partner and I have been together 5 years we're both 27 and recently got married. We decided after Honeymoon to ttc. My partner has two DC from a previous relationship I have none so this would be my first baby and our first together.

I've already stopped Microgynon30 on the 3rd June after being on it for 10 years (this was to help with my PMS) and with this being my first try for a baby I have no idea what I'm doing! I've been tracking my ovulation but not obsessing over it more for my own benefit (I get stressed out so easily!) I'm just trying to let nature take its course, but we've dtd a couple times over my ovulation period - again not planned just going with the flow! But I'm now wondering if I should take a PT when AF is due on the 6th July just in case?

Has anyone on here had experience with falling pregnant quite soon after stopping the pill? I know it can take a while, sometimes up to or over a year and I'm totally ok with that. But I'm just curious to see if I should test or not when my AF is due, any advice is appreciated! thank you! 😊(p.s. sorry for the essay!) x

Fell pregnant immediately. I did know when my fertile period was but the current array of testing devices wasn’t around then. I was 33.

Within 2 months and I was 37.

Also Microgynon.

I'm not sure if my app for tracking is accurate, I really only used it to see when i would need to delay AF for holidays etc. I don't mind waiting it'll be what it will be, i'm hoping for quick but you never can tell! Thank you for sharing x

So theres definitely a possibilty then! I'll just need to be patient and let nature do its stuff. Thank you for sharing x

Yeah I don't want to stress about it because it won't do me any favours, thank you for sharing x

Hi @EWXo don't rely on apps to tell you when you're ovulating, especially not when your cycles are returning to normal. They work off preset algorithms and can't know what's happening in your body and exactly when.

Just have sex every few days and if nothing happens, you could track ovulation properly with LH strips or temping.

Don’t forget to take folic acid.

Yeah I'm definitely not i used it more for withdrawal bleeds when on MG30, as I said i'm just letting nature do it's thing if it takes a while its ok! 😊 x
