How Many Miscarriages Have You Had?

Firstly, so sorry you've been through something so painful.

I've had 2.
After the first I had a feeling there wouldn't just be 1 as researching it this is so common and there rarely seems to be 1.

I long to have a full term pregnancy with a healthy baby as I'm sure many others do.

Sorry for your losses, OP. Flowers

I’ve had 2, but I’m unusual is being grateful for both of them.

It took us over a year to get a positive, and we lost it at 6 weeks. I was devastated, thinking it would take us another year to get another positive. We started trying again at my next cycle, and I got a positive immediately. We lost that one at 5 weeks. I was even more upset.

I then got pregnant my next cycle. DS is now 13.

I find it incredible to think that if either of those pregnancies had come to fruition, I wouldn’t have my DS. And that is unfathomable.

So, awful as they were at the time, I’m so thankful they happened.

I had 1dc
1 Pregnancy, ended at 6 weeks
4 1/2 years of trying to get pregnant including two surgeries and 5 failed ivf attempts
2 natural pregnancies - both ended about 5 1/2 weeks
Then I went to a miscarriage clinic and it turns out I have immune issues that are essentially attacking the embryos. I'm not on intralipids, steroids and had some other treatment too.
I'm currently six and bit weeks pregnant (with an ivf embryo) and have a viability scan tomorrow.

Infertility is awful and miscarriages are awful. It's also so bloody unfair. Personally, I'm pretty open about it and do talk to people about it all. They probably don't want to hear it mind! I do definitely get why some people wish to keep it entirely private though.

Good luck with your journey.

I had 2 before dd(4). One at 6 weeks and one at 8. I spent the whole of my successful pregnancy feeling like something would go wrong and I wouldn't have a baby at the end of it. I was very sick throughout the pregnancy which didn’t help. She came along healthy though & I went on to have dd2 last year with no problems, although I had 2 early scans with dd1 so knew things were looking ok at 8 and 10 weeks but nothing was offered with dd2 and private scans affected by lockdown so I was terrified until the 12 week scan. So sorry to those of you who have had multiple mc 💐

I had one, in between my two children. All three pregnancies were conceived quickly and were relatively easy on me (however long they lasted). I consider myself extremely lucky.

Most women I know have had at least one. A couple have had two. One has had "a few" but I suspect the real number is very high for her.

crossstitchingnana · 27/06/2022 07:17

2, 1 before my 2 babies and 1 after.

First 1 was at 6 weeks. Second was at 15. The first one does not impact me at all now as it was early and I conceived my dd before that due date.

The second one still impacts me now, at times, I feel like I lost a child.

StuntNun · 27/06/2022 07:26

Four successful pregnancies and one miscarriage which was during my third pregnancy.

1 chemical pregnancy and now a missed abortion that my body is refusing to clear up so will need medical management :(

Misty999 · 27/06/2022 07:42

3 failed IVF then a natural pregnancy ended in MC blighted ovum at 6 weeks. Immune issues treated with clexane, steroids, hdroxhloriquine, intralipids, IVIG, thyroxine the absolute works. 3 more Natural IVF embryo from round 3 success. Took 5 years to get my son, then when my son was 18 months Natural pregnancy success no intervention or medication lockdown baby girl.

TheOldLadyOfThreadneedleStreet · 27/06/2022 07:47

I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks between my two children.

Mymatemarmite89 · 27/06/2022 07:47

Three successful pregnancies and one miscarriage at 5 weeks last summer. Currently 7 weeks pregnant and going for scan today.

Yes, same for me. Flowers for all the women on this thread who've experienced so much heartbreak.

One missed miscarriage with my first pregnancy. DS came along with the second pregnancy. Third pregnancy now, 8 weeks along and so far so good

Starseeking · 27/06/2022 10:10

My third and final pregnancy was a miscarriage.

I'd had 3 first month conceptions when TTC, and 2 straightforward pregnancies and births, so what happened with the third pregnancy was a real shock to the system.

I started bleeding heavily at 11am a half weeks, a week before my 12 week scan was due to take place. Went straight to hospital, had an immediate scan during which they determined baby had not properly formed, and I had to go home to let it pass. A couple of weeks later a further scan showed I needed a D&C procedure.

I've since split with my DP, and getting through life on my own with my 2 DC, one who has additional needs.

Good luck OP, hopefully your rainbow baby will be with you soon Flowers

9 pregnancies, 7 miscarriages and 1 stillborn baby. My living daughter arrived after 5 miscarriages and my stillborn baby.

pangolin84 · 27/06/2022 14:23

I’ve had two.
First pregnancy I lost spontaneously at 6 weeks.
Second pregnancy conceived one year later resulted in a healthy baby boy.
Third pregnancy was a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks.
It’s heartbreaking and for me makes any subsequent pregnancy extremely difficult, mentally. Unfortunately my anxiety was well founded in my most recent pregnancy.

Theawkwardblonde · 27/06/2022 14:24

4 miscarriages. 3 before my DD. One just last month while TTC number 2.
Best of luck to you. It's hard but try to remain positive.
