Sorry I know I should have taken it against a white background but I didn’t think I was going to be posting.

I did have a period 5th-8th June which makes me think this can’t possibly be a positive because the last time I dtd was the first day of my period and my ovulation dates were the 14-20th according to flo app so it doesn’t match up at all. I tested because I just haven’t been feeling right.

I see a line!

Looks positive to me. Was your period a “true” period or just spotting – could it have been ovulation bleeding? I wouldn’t trust an app to confirm ovulation for me.

However it’s too faint to be a positive if your period was implantation bleeding. I’d test again in 48 hours to see if it darkens. Was it first morning urine?

Fabpinky · 20/06/2022 09:40

I took it to be a true period because I needed to use tampons and it lasted a normal amount of time. But even more confusing is that I bled this Friday and Saturday and needed a tampon. (17th/18th)

Could it be from when I dtd on my period on the 5th? Would the line not be more solid by now if so?

i has meant for it to be my first urine of the day but I woke up at 4am for a wee so it was my second at 8!

I can see the line but I think it's give it a few days and test again

stuntbubbles · 20/06/2022 09:45

If you DTD on the 5th and had a bleed on the 17/18 the timing sounds right for the later bleed to be implantation bleeding, and now 3 days later you’ve got a line – test tomorrow with FMU, even if it’s at 4am.

Sperm can hang out in there for 5 days so it’s entirely possible you ovulated on the 10th and implanted seven days later on the 17th, hence the bleed. And the line is faint because your wee was only a four-hour hold.

@stuntbubbles thank you that’s really helpful

It’s not possible to have a positive test when my period is still 13 days away though is it? My period matches up with the prediction of the Flo app every month within a few days at least

I had a negative on a sainsburys own test. I saw someone said on a different post that the test I had was notorious for false positives, I checked the Amazon reviews and there were hundreds saying they had false positives. Not the end of the world for me as I wasn’t actually trying to conceive but I imagine it would be heartbreaking for someone actively trying!
