Hoping for a BFP in July

So thought I'd start a new thread for anyone who's hoping for a July BFP. My AF showed up today a week early after getting loads of pregnancy symptoms 🥲 think my body is still out of sync after my miscarriage in April.

So let's stay positive for a July BFP 🥰

Yeah the advanced digital. I think I got it with 20 sticks for like £35?!

@JB2021 I got mine from Amazon. If you can work out when your fertile days are the clear blue lasts longer than you'd expect, you would only use a few over a cycle. I use cheap ones first and use Natural Cycles to input the data. It takes a picture & tells you if it's positive or negative. If the cheap ones start to look promising I use the digital. If it flashes the surge is coming if it's a static smiley face it's your peak. I hope that makes sense 🤦🏻‍♀️

@hevann @JB2021 I also got mine from Amazon and I agree you don't need 20 for one cycle. I've used 5 and tested twice a day to get my peak.... I won't bother testing again as il just BD for three or four days straight and so I shouldn't miss it!

I use the East@home ovulation ones on Amazon. I like the app that it uses.

Just done one for CD13. Both of us now home until Saturday every night so DTD 😀

Do you tend to test at a particular time of day etc?

We are trying SMEP and was waiting got a positive but also feeling eevr either missed it or I'm just rubbish at using these tests. Disheartened

@JB2021 I test in the afternoon after trying to hold wee for a few hours. Usually between 2 and 4pm. It's a decent result at this time I feel.

July isn’t looking likely, no AF yet I thought it was a bit unrealistic but I can be a passenger on the bus!

@JB2021 I test when I get up in the morning with the first wee of the day 😂

Don't feel disheartened 🥰 I only really figured out the OPKs this month & I'm on my 5th month of trying. Our bodies our funny things! x

@JB2021 I do twice a day, once with FMU & second in the afternoon / evening. I tested yesterday morning and was still showing as high fertility & tested again at 6pm and got my peak. So I suspect my surge started in the afternoon. I don't bother with the strips I just use clear blue digital as it's easier for me 🙈

@LucyLoopyLu ah cycle buddy! I'm predicted ovulation on the 29th on one app and the 30th on the other, what about you?

@Angie2018 @hevann thanks both. We've been trying for a few months but last month husband was away so we "lost" a month. I still tried to test for ovulation so I could learn. This month we are trying SMEP. Although testing ovulation isn't helping me, cos I'm clueless, there's always a line and always looks pretty dark. Today's is non existsnt so I'm thinking we've missed it. I thought I was CD 14 and we've DTD on days 5, 8, 10 and 12 so far. I am beginning to wonder if I got CD1 wrong which makes me feel stupid. I didn't count until it was properly here, I thought I was late and then it was like a bloody mucus (TMI) then I got what I counted as full flow I day of full flow I classed as day 1.

I'm 36, nearly 37 so feel time is against me which is why not fully getting ovulation right is disheartening. We said we'd try SMEP so we know we've given it our best shot.

@JB2021 tbh I would class the first full day as CD1 too 🤷🏻‍♀️ a couple of times I've spotted a day or 2 before AF but didn't class it until it was heavy. So I might be wrong too! Lol!

I'm 36 so know how you feel, my DH is 49 so we're extra against it. It took me a while to figure out the POAS thing & my DH thought I was weird (still does) ha!

I'm sure you have managed to cover yourself with the amount you have have DTD across your cycle so far. We've only DTD twice but it does only take that one little wriggler 🤣🤣 xx

@hevann thanks for the kind words. DH is 41 soon but he isn't bothered by the age thing.

I'm thinking we might do extra DTD next few days depending what tomorrow's test says.

@JB2021 mine isn't bothered either, I think it's more me with the worrying ie. Why hasn't it happened yet etc..

@hevann I'm using Clue as that's what I used when I was on the pill and also Flo. But saying that I'm not doing very well if I can't figure out CD1 of AF and ovulation. Wanted to at least track so if it doesn't happen we have a "record" of when we DTD to show medical professionals. I really have my hopes pinned on this month.

Think it's harder for us as its our bodies that give us the yes or no.

Finding ov tests hard as I like to drink water but know we need to limit 2 hours before and then I just drink and forget!

@JB2021 @hevann Hey both! So we are all in our 30's then! I am 33 & partner 43, I always worry about age but in reality it matters more for the female and plenty of women have children into their early 40s so we do have time even though until we get our BFPs and have successful pregnancies I don't think it makes any difference to how we feel!!

I too have so much pinned on this month after having a chemical last cycle. This is cycle 6 for us but we lost a couple of months due to Covid. And then the chemical so I guess it's still early but like us all I am desperate 😩

We are also doing SMEP and DTD CD5, 6,8,10,11 & then tomorrow morning which will be day 12. I think I ovulated this afternoon actually as it was about 24 hours after my peak and I got the one sided pain. Thankfully we DTD at lunch time so hoping there's plenty of swimmers there to play 🤣🤣

I agree though it does only take one!

If you haven't already I'd defo try the clear blue digital @JB2021 as it does help! And to be honest sounds like you've DTD a lot anyway. Are you temping?

Hi all! Glad I'm not the only one in my 30s, I'm 33 and TTC for the first time

@Tropicana1 ovulation predicted on the 1st which is not too bad! My parents are visiting this weekend so won't be DTD and my OH is away 8th-10th as well so actually fallen fairly well this month.

I'm just wondering whether to get some fertility lubricant and also need to get some more vitamins 🙈 expensive this TTC so far

I'm 33 too!! I would say get preseed lube it's the best on the market x

I'm 33 and ttc for second, first is nearly 7. I started using conceive plus fertility lube but dh didn't like it and was crazy expensive for such a little tube.

I hope I haven't missed this month. Peak ovulation yesterday and last DTD on Sunday. Didn't get chance yesterday. Hopefully tonight as dh is currently having a shower. I think he is expecting some loving 😂

@BellaTheDarkOverlord haha fab!! I had a temp spike this morning which confirmed I ovulated around 4pm yesterday. We DTD at about 1.30pm and same time day before and Saturday so there should be plenty there waiting. Had my normal one sided pain yesterday. Was just over 24 hours after my LH surge. Will be pouncing on him again shortly as it's within the 24 hour window just to make sure 🤣🤣
