In doing a CB digital again just so that I can see 3+ weeks?

The FRER is from Monday night. The CB digital is from Tuesday mid-morning.

I have zero symptoms at the moment. Feel absolutely fine. Did anybody else feel the need to repeat test just for their own reassurance?

Is there any point...?

I just typed a big reply and it didn't send 🙈 I'll reply tomorrow properly haha. Hope you're good!

Drf · 12/06/2022 08:59

Haha the testing is addictive! I do a cheap strip test every morning just to give me peace of mind, I have one more digital test but I'll keep it until maybe next weekend and see if it's gone up a week!
I wish there wasn't such a tabboo around telling people, I just want everyone to know - was at a bbq last night at a friend's house and I couldn't eat some of the food or have anything to drink, and I wanted to leave for so long because I was exhausted, but had to pretend like nothing was going on. We're going on a girls trip to Dublin tomorrow and I cannot lie, so when I'm not having cocktails I know they will instantly know why and yet I have to sit there like a fool and lie about being pregnant... it's so weird!

S0220 · 13/06/2022 07:27

@Drf oh that is tough, especially going on a girls trip! What excuse will you use?

I had to pour myself a cranberry juice with ice on Saturday night and pretend it was vodka and cranberry 😂

I actually woke up feeling quite nauseous this morning and according to dates I'm at the 5 week mark today. Never thought I would be pleased to be feeling sick but finally, a symptom of some kind!

@S0220 omg I felt so sick this morning! Currently on the train for our girls day in Dublin trying not to die and pretend I'm absolutely fine 😆😆 they're 100% going to put 2+2 together!
Glad you're feeling some symptoms 😁

S0220 · 13/06/2022 08:51

@Drf have a great time! I've been to Dublin before for a weekend break and absolutely loved it. So much fun!

I called up my local GP today as I wasn't sure what their protocol is (I've moved house since having my first so hence have changed GP practices and I know everywhere is slightly different). Well anyway, they've asked for me to come in today for an appointment before booking in with the midwife so let's see what happens! Not sure what they're going to ask/do. At my last practice I was just booked in at 8ish weeks with a midwife so it's new to me!

5 weeks + 2 days and got my 3+ weeks! 🥰

Is there any point...?

Aw yaaaay 🤩🤩 that's so exciting! I have one I was gonna do this weekend to see if it's progressed from 1-2.
I'm going through a phase of being a bit terrified. All. The. Time.
I feel like everyone I speak to had had a miscarriage around 9-10 weeks and I'm so scared to be excited... and then in the next breath I'm looking up Chinese gender predictors😳

S0220 · 14/06/2022 21:51

@Drf when did you last test 1-2? Fingers crossed! Please share how you get on 😊
I feel a huge sense of relief today although still very much aware that anything can happen!
Like you, I go through waves of being scared. I know it's a bit TMI but I'm noticing an increase in discharge and every time I go to the toilet I keep getting scared I'm going to see blood.
I want to enjoy this bubble though so really going to try and reframe my thoughts. The 3+ tonight is going to help I think!

I hadn't done a digital since 9dpo, but I did one last night and it was up at 2-3. As soon as I remembered I had one I had to do it 🤣 I'll get another pack next week and try for 3+.
Wouldn't it be lovely if we could just wake up at 16 weeks with lovely big bumps and healthy babies!

S0220 · 15/06/2022 10:26

@Drf it's so hard to resist the urge when you know you have one lying about at home! That's great to hear though 🥰

And I agree! Although worries I'll be showing a lot earlier this time around as I keep hearing that second pregnancies tend to show a lot sooner! I remember being in maternity leggings by 14ish weeks with my first, more so out of comfort because I was so bloated. Let's wait and see!

OP posts:
Drf · 19/06/2022 14:50

I was a bit worried I hadn't felt any stretching or pulling or twinges that I've had since day 1, so I did a digital test and got my 3+ 😁
I know it really means nothing but it does make me feel a bit less anxious.
According to the date of my last period I'm 5+1 today!
How are you feeling @S0220?

Is there any point...?
S0220 · 20/06/2022 07:27

@Drf amazing!! 😍 that's great to see!
I'm feeling okay thanks... tiredness definitely creeping in now and boobs are feeling very heavy and tender 😩 also keep getting waves of nausea throughout the day, weirdly enough more so when I'm in the car! Never experienced that the first time. But actually pleased to be experiencing some symptoms haha. I'm 6 weeks today ☺️

How are you feeling?

OP posts:
Drf · 20/06/2022 08:14

That's good that some symptoms are starting! Hopefully they won't get too rough tho! I took my bra off yesterday and I was like whooaaaa 😳😳 so heavy!! I'm going to finish registration with my gp today so hopefully I'll get some sort of update on what happens next!

S0220 · 20/06/2022 09:14

@Drf good luck! You may be offered a midwife appt very soon. I have mine next week ☺️

One thing I'm really struggling with at the moment is how bloated I am 😩😩 I actually cannot believe how expanded my stomach is getting and I know it's just bloating and not an actual bump but it bloody feels like it at times 😂 are you experiencing the same at all?

OP posts:
Drf · 20/06/2022 09:55

@S0220 omg midwife appointments make it all seem so real! I feel like I won't be fully convinced that it's actually happening until I see a scan or hear a heartbeat! Too early for any of that at the moment so I just need to be patient, but that's easier said than done!

S0220 · 21/06/2022 07:26

@Drf I feel the same way! I'm in two minds about having an early reassurance scan. I did with my first, we had a scan at 8 weeks but really only because we were due to go on holiday the following week so I wanted that peace of mind before we went! It definitely helped to make things feel more real.

OP posts:
Drf · 21/06/2022 07:36

I think I'll have one, the thought of waiting until 12 weeks is killing me. Time has never dragged by so slowly! 😳 I'm not having one here in Ireland though, costs an arm and a leg, but I'll be back in Scotland when I'm 9 weeks and it's literally half the price there so I'll go then! Too scared to book it though because even that seems so so far away! I went to my first doctors appointment yesterday and the doctor was mad. Stone mad. Was telling me about the nurse who miscarried at the weekend there at 8 weeks and the woman up the road who just died during a home birth. I was like ooooooook no more storied please!!😵😵‍💫

S0220 · 21/06/2022 20:12

@Drf that is soooo not helpful! Why on earth would the doctor share such stories?! 😳

And you're right, they do cost a fair bit. When I was pregnant with my first, early reassurance scans were £40 where I went! They're now £55!
Although if it gives you that bit of peace of mind and reassurance, then worth it I guess.

I keep feeling so so nauseous, particularly when I'm driving 😩 I've never experienced motion sickness before, and I haven't physically been sick but the feeling is overwhelming!
