Hi. I'm new here and posted somewhere earlier but not sure if it was the right place 😬
I am almost 43 yrs old and a mum of a 24 and 15 yr old.

I am 35 days into my cycle but have had negative preg test results all week and wondering could i still get a pos result at this stage or later as its now around the 5 week mark.

I had an ectopic pregnancy last November and had the injection methyltrexate (Awful time)😥
My HCG levels went back to 0 mid Jan and period started the end of Jan. They have been quite regular since, although i did have an 11 day cycle March-April but went back to normal afterwards. My cycles are between 28-34 days.

I have been testing morning urine with usual tests and also used a digital today. All are negative results.

So...at this stage i am thinking that must be it. Surely I cant be pregnant after this length of time? I don't track ovulation, only use Flo apps predictions but no idea if they're right.

I know my age means i could be at peri menopause stage but ive always been regular. It could be my last pregnancy being an ectopic has messed me up although again, i have been quite regular. It could be i am just late, although i dont think i am ever this late. I am confused!

Any ideas? Should i just assume i am definitely not pregnant? Have you ever been through something similar and found out you were pregnant later than 35 days - 5 weeks?

Thanks

Pregnancy test is from first day of missed period
So today

Nobody can give you a 100% time frame because it works with your hcg. It’s typically from the date of your missed period. Also I believe digital tests typically require more hcg than stick ones.

If in doubt im sure your gp will be willing to do a test for you! Fingers crossed for you, I hope you get the results you want ❤️

Thank you for your replies 🙂

I did a pregnancy test yesterday and this morning, still a clear negative. I think I should probably assume I am not pregnant this time. Surely by the 36th day I should have at least a faint line. When I had my ectopic, I tested positive before my period was due so I'm thinking at this point i must be just having a delayed period for some reason.

I rang the epu yesterday and the midwife told me she has never known an ectopic with neg result (I was worried about that) She also told me to assume I am not pregnant until a POS result (erm obvs) and it's a waste of time going to my GPS at this stage. I kinda felt I had no answers lol, so just wanted to know if anyone else has been through similar or if it's possible after this long to still get a positive.
I have no idea when I ovulated....wish I tracked it now 🤦🏼‍♀️ I will be once my af starts again.
