Hi All,

Are there any wise ladies who know about using OPKs after a chemical pregnancy?

I tested positive but started bleeding at what would have been the 6week mark. Iv stopped bleeding a few days ago and decided to test my LH as we are keen to try again as soon as it looks like I’m going to ovulate and I got a medium high result (20%) which has really surprised me as if I hadn’t had the chemical I wouldn’t be due to ovulate for atleast another week and I had thought it would only push back ov 🤨

does anyone have any experience or had similar?

If there's any HCG left in your system then the opk will be reacting to that and giving you a darker test line than normal. Have to tested negative on a very sensitive pregnancy test, like a FRER?

I suppose all you can do is keep testing with the OPKs and keep having sex regularly.

Usually people count the start of miscarriage/chemical bleeding as CD1 and go from there.

I’m CD 11 today after my chemical and think I’m either about to ovulate or have ovulated today - I usually ovulate on around CD17 for me. That said when I had my previous chemical I think I ovulated bang on time afterwards. I guess all you can do is keep testing and DTD just in case!

Thanks @Flederjo that all makes sense, I did come back negative on a boots early one but I wonder if it’s still a bit close to the bleed so will test again with in a few days 🧡
