Bloody typical - has anyone seen AF?!

So DH and I are gearing up to start our TTC journey this month. Very excited and have purchased all the various bits as recommended on here.

AF was due Saturday, and is pretty regular… but is now missing 😂

I’m having to laugh as we’ve been together so long and finally agreed now is the right time. Then she goes and disappears as soon as we’re ready!

Luckily my mega pack of ovulation tests were delivered today, which included pregnancy ones. It’s a clear negative as expected, but I did have a chuckle whilst waiting at the chance it happened ‘just like that’ as I gear up with my thermometer and everything else! Was also checking the use by dates on all the vitamins I’ve purchased!

We use the withdraw method so there was a slim chance, but my goodness that was have been practically pregnancy by manifestation 😁

Sorry, a long ramble but we’re not telling anyone our plans so wanted to have a download - and also check if you’ve seen my period anywhere, because she’s certainly in hiding!

Well she’s still not made an appearance… I’ll test again tomorrow evening if she remains MIA!

I’ve checked behind sofas and even the junk drawer 😱… she still cannot be found!

I’m getting stomach, lower back and weird shoulder pains so god knows what’s going on 😂

Got all my vitamins ready to take and ovulation tests lined up ready to go - they remain untouched along with my tampons!!

Took a test this morning, still a clear negative… off to eat more chocolate to try and tempt her out 😄

This ALWAYS happens in the first couple of months on TTC! It is ridiculous! And you're like omg I'm pregnant why aren't the tests turning positive but no AF decided just to not bother turning up one month to mess with you 🤔 happened me and lots of my friends! Someone should study this phenomenon!

@SunflowerGardens your post has given me a lot of reassurance!! Still no sign of her, but good to know I’m part of a phenomenon 😁

Just to add to this riveting thread (or if anyone does look into this phenomenon), still no AF and negative tests… a week late 🤷🏻‍♀️

With DD2, I didn't show positive on a test until I was almost 2 weeks late.
It's not over 'til the fat lady sings! I'm keeping everything crossed for you xx

This fat lady (aka AF) is now singing!! Lunchtime today - over 1 week late. Slightly gutted as, despite my best efforts not to, I had started to hope… but the daily tests all being a solid negative kept me on the right side of expectations.

not been this late in years, just so random it happened as I was about to start all the vitamins etc!

unlikely, but hopefully this is her last appearance for some time!
