So although not actively ttc for the full 8 years, no contraception has been used for that time and I've been with my DP for 11 years. Nothing has happened, no even a whiff of a bfp. As we are still young, I've had tests but my doctor phonic DP was holding out until this summer. I had bloods, internal and external ultrasound scan, all ok. On opk ovulate around cd16. Didn't try anything different this month, apart from a couple of times I fell asleep instead of going to the bathroom pretty soon after, was due af last Saturday (cd14), had cramps and really felt like it on was on the way. Sunday no cramps, Monday a few twinges, Tuesday fine, then yesterday more cramps. Breasts not too tender but very round so with this and the on/off cramps thought I'd use the last FRER I had last night and there it was straight away!! I can't believe it we are in shock but very happy, yesterday was a big day as we also picked up the keys for our first house :D

Anyone out there still TTC after so long, I thought it would never happen for us, certainly not without medical help, but here we are! Keep going ladies xx

Wow @Bunny2006 congratulations!!!

It's such a shame your DP was unwilling to get any testing or help, but very exciting that there are 2 lines now!

Thank you everyone :) Yes I'd finally convinced him to do the tests this summer, think he was in a bit of denial really!
