Am I fertile if periods haven't returned post child?

Me and my partner are thinking about trying for our second child once our DD is about 9 months (age is not on our side so if we want 2, we need to do it sooner rather than later) I'm EBF and my periods haven't returned.

Is it possible to get pregnant despite lack of period? Am I fertile? It took a while to conceive DD with regular periods, so I'm a little concerned. I want to carry on BF for as long as DD wants to feed, so stopping isn't an option.

Thanks all

Some women start their periods straight away after birth, even EBF. Others don't get their period back for years.

Could you cut down your daughter's feeds, rather than stopping completely, and see if that makes a difference?

Yes, your period will come after you have ovulated and not conceived. So you will ovulate and be fertile before you have a period.
