So I did a clear blue digital which shown a static smiley face which means peak. So I’ve been doing ovulation strips and they’re dark lines but not quite as dark as the control line so I’m unsure if I’ve missed ovulation or it’s on its way, but the night I got the static smiley face I felt pain in my right side which I maybe thought is ovulation. thoughts and experiences? I’ve attached pictures of the tests below from today and yesterday

Pain in the lower right side, or left side (or even both) is a sign of ovulation. The egg lasts around 12 hours or so after release before it dies, unless it's fertilised.

Thanks, @SarahShorty

I had unprotected sex a day or 2 before I got my static smiley face so im assuming I ovulated then ? I still feel a slight twinge today so I’m unsure , it’s very confusing 😭😂

There’s some tips in natural family planning about bodily signs to look out for - during ovulation discharge becomes transparent like egg white and snot like texture, apparently to help sperm meet egg. After that is gone, ovulation window gone - or safe to have sex if natural family planning. Copied the below off a quick Google:

“To use the cervical mucus method, it's important to understand how cervical secretions change during a typical menstrual cycle. Generally, you'll have:

No noticeable cervical secretions for three to four days after your period ends
Scanty, cloudy and sticky secretions for the next three to five days
Abundant, clear and wet secretions for the next three to four days — the period before and during ovulation
No noticeable cervical secretions for 11 to 14 days until your next period begins”

@Phoebetaylor most likely, yes. I had twinges on and off after ovulation in my current cycle. The follicle literally bursts when the egg is released, so I imagine the healing over causes some twinges thereafter. My fingers are crossed for you x

Thank you @SarahShorty and@BakeOffRewatch
I haven’t noticed any stretchy discharge yet , just white creamy / slippery x

Everyone is different and you’ll notice your own discharge type as the month changes if you keep an eye on it, worth watching for future. Good luck with TTC!
