Would it be ridiculous to try for a baby now?

My partner and I want to try for another baby, we have a DS aged two. However I haven’t had a period in six months and have just been diagnosed with PCOS.

I know I can get pregnant, but the PCOS symptoms seem to only have come on since having my son, my periods were always pretty regular before (although they were often very long cycles) I’ve also gained a lot of weight.

Given I haven’t had a period in so long, will I even be able to ovulate? Will I even be able to get pregnant with PCOS?

Would it be ridiculous to try when I’ve only just been diagnosed?

Thank you x

I hadn’t had a period for 9 months when I got pregnant with my first. No harm in trying.

Why on earth would it be ridiculous?! You want another baby, try for another baby!

Might take longer, you might need to track ovulation with OPKs or temping, or take some sort of meds (no idea on that, sorry). Might happen quickly!

I can’t see any harm in trying!

Could you use OPKs for a while to try to get a sense of if/when you are ovulating?

Thanks everyone, I just wasn’t sure if it was possible without periods! ❤️
