Positive pregnancy and ovulation tests after miscarriage?

Hi Everyone, I'm really confused and wanted some advice. Unfortunately I had a mmc at 10wks, and had surgical removal last week. I have been testing positive on pregnancy tests since, tho I do think they're getting fainter, but as my partner and I want to ttc again as soon as possible I took an ovulation test this morning to try and start tracking my cycle, and it came back as peak ovulation?

Can you ovulate whilst still testing positive on pregnancy tests?

Ovulation tests can also detect HCG. Most likely they are showing that you still have it in your system.

Will be from the HCG in your system.

Have you been offered blood draws to make sure it's coming down?

You can ovulate but it is hard to detect exactly when. I've just gone through the same thing as you and got my first period after the D&C. Tracking in that 2-3 weeks after surgical management was pretty close to impossible. Try to be patient. Have regular sex until your cycle resumes. With any luck, you will fall pregnant right away x

That's what I was thinking, it's just very frustrating especially when you just want to try again.

No offer of blood draw, I asked at the time did I need to do a pregnancy test at home and was told no as they got everything. Ive just been testing based on reading other people's experiences.

I'll just have to keep an eye on it and hope it drops down sooner rather than later x

Yeah some doctors aren't very forthcoming with advice. I think the best thing is to have very regular test and to do pregnancy tests until they become negative. Buy the cheapies from amazon and try every 2-3 days. Track BBT as well. Other than that, it is a waiting game. You just have to give your body the time it needs, I know that's easier said than done.
I am focusing on working out and dieting at the moment. I figure if I do that, then I'm giving myself the best chance for a pregnancy soon. Helps me to feel somewhat in control xxx

Regular sex not test.

Hello Chellooo, I hope you had some positive news following… I had missed miscarriage at the end of July and MVA on the 5th of august and on the 17th/18th I had EWM and cramping like during my normal ovulation, I didn’t test for ovulation as I was still getting faint positives but now I’m even more sure I ovulated I haven’t had my AF yet just a waiting game now . We done the deed on the 20th but only got my first - not pregnant result on Tuesday the 23rd of august.

@Doodles18 did you manage to conceive? I had an MVA 2 weeks ago, still faint positive on pregnancy tests but I'm getting more cervical mucus so unsure whether ovulating? X
