Am i pregnant or is my cycle still adjusting after birth

Please help...

I gave birth 4 months ago, had 2 periods since and I'm awaiting my 3rd. My second period was about 28 days(ish) after my first so expected this cycle to be about that too but I'm now a week overdue. I've done 4 tests over the last few days and all have been negative but still no sign of my period. Had a bit of brown spotting on and off since Sunday but nothing further has happened.

I have 3 children and my periods always returned to normal more or less straight away after the first 2.

We have been using condoms so the chances are unlikely but I am starting to panic. Has anybody else experienced similar and what was the outcome? I am not breastfeeding.

Mine following each of my six pregnancies never returned to how they were before and were always different lengths or involved spotting etc but that was normal for me to expect that. If the tests say negative, I’d trust that.

My periods post baby differ from month to month. Some months my cycle is really long. Maybe its your body readjusting?
