Sex then ovulate 4 days later

Hello
we baby danced on Monday night and I ovulated today - I know they say sperm can’t last up to 5 days inside but has that actually happened for anyone
I know I am ovulating today but husband is having issues trying to keep an erection ( you just couldn’t make it up) so I am wondering if I still have a chance with Monday or am I out this month?

I have read multiple stories on here of people having sex once, several days before ovulation, and them becoming pregnant! However, to maximise your chances this cycle, bearing in mind your husband's issue, why not just have him do his business in a pot and use a syringe? Lie down, legs up, insert, maybe have an orgasm, job done.

Not the most romantic option obviously, but it works! We had a few cycles where the stress got to my husband and we went this route.

I'm currently 27 weeks and this little one was conceived last November when my hubbie had Gastroenteritis or Norovirus or something. No way I was having sex with him but it was right on the most important fertile days! We used the above method twice and it did the job 🤗

Anyway, just an option!

I think the chances are slim , they are only something like 33% when you have sex when ovulating so minimal a few days before, go crack our some sexy lingerie the whole 9 yards do something different maybe a different location than the bedroom to distract him , mine gets in his head as well when he knows I'm ovulating so have to get creative to distract him and get it done

This happened to me on my current pregnancy 😊 had sex on a Tuesday, ovulated on Saturday (had static smiley on ovulation test and all my normal symptoms of ovulation) to suggest definitely Saturday or Sunday. I was gutted as we didn't have sex since the Tuesday as my husband was poorly so thought not a chance!!

I read about 5 days but really didn't think it would happen. I guess there's also the possibility that I ovulated earlier and was unaware but don't think that's massively likely given test and symptoms and my cycle is very regular.

I would just add that I think potentially we are very fertile (or very lucky) as 1st and 2nd baby have both been conceived on 'first try'.

There's chance still. As previously suggested might be worth keeping on hand home insemination kit just in case...
My dh seems always most keen on other times but around ovulation has not been up for it a couple times. Such is life. Some men's sex drive varies and I think knowing it's ovulation can change their mood too..
