Anyone got pregnant on day 2 of positive OPK?

Hi ladies
has anyone got pregnant by dtd on the second day of positive OPKs? Or the day after the positive OPK? Didn’t start testing this month until CD12, OPK was positive and we dtd but I suspect the surge began on CD11 as the positive wasn’t as strong as it usually is on the first day. If that makes sense!

Of course it's possible/probable! The LH surge happens before ovulation, usually 12-36 hours before. So even just having sex when you first see that positive OPK can absolutely lead to pregnancy, since the egg takes a lot longer to travel down the tube than the sperm need to swim up there!

I've read you should ideally have sex day one and two of positive opk. For some people, sometimes, say two is actually more likely because your body releases the egg after LH surge. Of course you don't know if you tested at the start of the surge as I assume you're not testing in the middle of the night too.

Here are the two possible but most varied scenarios.

Example one
You get positive test in the morning and it's actually the end of your peak because you missed the start the previous afternoon. Egg is released within a few hours, you're most fertile the day you took the opk and you're probably not fertile on sat two, definitely not say 3.

Example two
Positive test in the morning. You got the start of the surge, egg released 36 hours later and lives 12 hours. You're still very fertile on days 2-3.

Therefore best days are days 1-2 of opk,day 3 still has a chance or trying to predict the day before (or flashing smiley face) with clear blue is also thought to be useful.

Hi @Organictangerine i was away for work a couple of days and when I returned I got a positive OPK that afternoon. We DTD that day and the next few days consecutively. Because we didn’t do it in the couple of days before I wasn’t sure what would happen, but I’m now four weeks pregnant, so I’d say it’s absolutely possible. Baby dust to you x

After further reading I'll add to my post above. I'm using this app that has great advice generally but recommends best chance of conception days of positive opk plus next day and even day after! The idea is most pregnancies occur when a sperm meets an existing egg.

Then today I read that most pregnancies occur day of positive opk plus two days before. 🤦‍♀️

Personally I think I'll go for two days prior, and day of positive opk. If you're having a lot of sex day after sounds good too.
