It's ok! Stay cool & calm.... you managed this morning and you'll get tomorrow night... that's twice PERFECT. Just think you have swimmers waiting already BEFORE you got the positive OPK.

@RMS0209 thank you positive Polly 😂 I know it's not the end of the world just annoying as I would have made sure we DTD more on the days leading up to it if I'd thought it would be today.. has always been consistent up to now 🙄 Hadn't DTD for like a week before today so not as many swimmers waiting as I would have liked but hey ho 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh sorry I thought you had still been dancing and was away, that's ok though I'm really glad you got this morning plus you'll get tomorrow. I got my peak on Thursday and didn't ovulate until Saturday last cycle so bear that in mind! X

That's actually really good to know, I've always just assumed I would ovulate the following day so probably stopped trying too soon. Will keep going for the next few days and keep everything crossed.

I hope she sticks around for a while, I'm just a negative Nancy over here 😂

From what I’ve read, ovulation happens 24-36 hours after the initial OPK surge - and the egg stays ready to be fertilised for 12-24 hours.

so say you get the peak on a Saturday morning, ovulation would happen around Sunday morning to Sunday afternoon. So Sunday would be your most fertile day. If that makes sense!

So basically I'm expecting OH to be pounced on tonight 😂😂👏🏻

@Nyxxie it sounds fine to me, it can take 48h hours before you ovulate after your peak. The swimmers from this morning will be there and anything else you manage in between. X

Morning ladies, need some advice....😳 so my opks still don't seem to be dropping so I had 1 freedom test left and obviously POAS!
I only started OPKs mid cycle & had a peak that day.....I thought I'd already ovulated but would never really know as was purely going off body signs, ewcm etc.
So I'm 3dpo according to premom app where I thought I might be around 10-11dpo prior to using the opks.
Is there anything on this test, seems they are notorious for false postives? This was taken at 4 mins, Is it worth doing a frer, I can get some ordered today?

@Clairey3010 I'm notoriously bad at seeing squinters. I do think usually 'if in doubt, FRER it out' though!

Hard to say @Clairey3010 as it looks a bit flooded if you know what I mean? Can you test with FMU?

@Nyxxie we DTD on Thursday and the. I got my peak on Friday but didn't manage do DTD Friday OR yesterday for various annoying reasons🤦🏼‍♀️ having read everyone's replies to you I'm going to jump DH this evening just in case there's still some hope haha!
Having said that, when we conceived my first we had literally the exact same sex schedule as this because DH got performance anxiety once he knew I was at my peak so there's still hope, although I've already mentally counted myself out for this cycle (just call me Negative Nellie 😂)

Hello! Hope you don’t mind me joking! Ttc 16 months, reslly irregular cycles! I’m cd12 atm, I have ovulated on days 26, 32, 38, 45 and had cycles up to 90 days! Last month I had quite a normal cycle length and hoping for a normal ish one this month too! Had a static OPK last month and temps confirmed ovulation 3 days later! I’ve just had a static so assuming I may ovulate maybe on Wednesday? If I have a similar cycle! I have everything crossed it’ll happen this week so going to try DTD a few times without doing too much that if it’s a false positive we are too tired to keep at it!

@RMS0209 doing okay and trying to be positive for this cycle. My OH pointed out to me that we both had a bad stomach bug last month and that does affect sperm according to doctor google ha. I am going to try taking BBT this month and see if that confirms ovulation. If we don't conceive next cycle I think I will speak to GP then. How did you get on with the ovusense last month? Is it worth the money? How are you doing otherwise?

Hi, i mentioned last week that i am going to see my gynocoligist about my short LP and will update after. So i did today and she's discovered 2 small cysts. She said they are still very small but need treatment and that is what causing the short cycles and LP and preventing pregnancy. I am now going to take the medications she's prescribed for 10 days and then the cysts should hopefully be gone and the cycles should be again about 28 days long as they were before ds1. She told me to go see her again if i don't get pregnant within the next 2/3 months if she may need to prescribe something else. In the meantime i had some swabs taken and hormone blood tests done this week and also waiting for an ultrasound appointment (that is through the NHS) I don't know how long this ultrasound appointment is going to take to come hence why i have decided to not waste time and see my private gynecologists, i have seen her before and trust her. I am hoping for a positive change soon and feel relieved that i am getting some answers and help. A bit annoyed with myself, i should have done it sooner without waiting 6 months! Feel like i have wasted lots of time, nerves and opks 🤣

Hi @Peonies94 wow that sounds really frustrating with the really variable cycle lengths! Fingers crossed you ovulate soon this cycle!

@Kitty901 oh that's great - out of interest what Is the medication for the cysts? Sounds like you've got a really proactive doctor!

Not much for me to report.. CD4, AF should leave around CD6.
No idea of this months game plan, cut my vitamins down to just folic acid this month to see if that helps give me a slightly earlier ovulation!

DH is having a meltdown 😂😂 no more testing until I'm late. To be fair he has a point. Actually 4 weeks from lmp is Sunday so I'll catch up then xx enjoy your week ladies 😘

Does anyone know if it's ok to have cervical screening when TTC? I read it's not recommended while pregnant but obviously I could be pregnant at any time and not know until AF🤔
