3DPO pregnancy symptoms.. am I going mad?!

If anyone can relate or give me a positive experience from a previous pregnancy that would be great!

I’m only 3DPO (I know I’m silly by even writing this and aware implantation happens at the very earliest 6DPO!!!) BUT I have felt very nauseous, bloated, higher BBT and had twinges since the morning of 2DPO.

I know these can be post ovulation symptoms but I have never had symptoms previously and this is my first proper month ttc!

We DTD 4 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation so fingers crossed but I wondered if anyone has/ is experiencing some similar at this point of their cycle!

Well with my 3rd (when I was well able to recognise the symptoms) I knew I was pregnant 36hrs after DTD.

So good luck!

Hjudge56 · 14/04/2022 16:41

@tobedtoMN that’s promising! What symptoms did you have??

Tender breasts. Felt sick.

tobedtoMN · 14/04/2022 16:44

TBH it might have just been nausea, but I knew.

Hjudge56 · 14/04/2022 16:48

Thanks for sharing @tobedtoMN !

Sorry to rain on your parade but that's not possible I'm afraid.

Any symptoms you're getting this early on are progesterone symptoms.

If your egg has been fertilised it will be a 16 cell morula making its way down your fallopian tubes at the moment. It's not even attached to anything.

This site shows what might be happening on each day, if you're interested.

www.ehd.org/virtual-human-embryo/

As far as your body is concerned, you're only potentially pregnant until implantation has taken place.

Graceybaby · 14/04/2022 16:50

More then likely it's symptoms of ovulation, it really is very unlikely to get pregnancy symptoms as until that egg implants you aren't pregnant.

You really do have to try and ignore it all and just wait to see whether AF arrives.. easier said then done trust me I know but otherwise you will just be so disappointed when it doesn't happen.

xx good luck

Carlswhite29x · 14/04/2022 16:51

I can relate. I'm 5dpo and been getting a lot of symptoms I don't normally have since 2dpo.

I am writing everything down so that if I get a BFN/AF arrives, I can go into the next cycle and compare. I have never paid so much attention to my body 😂😂

Hjudge56 · 14/04/2022 17:03

Thank you ladies!!! I will check that website out!

@Carlswhite29x this is my thoughts exactly.. best to write it down so then if it’s not our month then we know these same symptoms for the next try!

@Hjudge56 Just to add, there is a theory that any egg which meets a sperm will get fertilised, but some don't make it past the morula stage and develop into blastocysts, and some blastocysts don't implant. If that theory is correct then it means that essentially all women who have had sex during their fertile window are pregnant at around 2DPO, and the pregnancy test is only really to see whether you are still pregnant a week or so after that! But of course there's no way to prove that theory.

Hjudge56 · 14/04/2022 17:16

@babyjellyfish interesting! I mean it makes sense! Here’s hoping the beans stick !!!

If it's your first month TTC you are gonna be so much more aware of symptoms than you normally are. Plus if you were previously on any birth control, that will have changed cycle symptoms. Rule is that if you are getting HCG specific symptoms, you'd test positive on a pregnancy test. With kindness, ignore all until at least 12dpo, then test.

Hjudge56 · 14/04/2022 19:38

Okay thanks @TheDaydreamBelievers ! I have been off birth control for a while and have always tracked my symptoms using Flo before TTC as I knew when we were likely to start trying! But your right, definitely going to be prone to being symptom aware!!

@Hjudge56 was u pregnant? X

Canellita · 28/05/2023 22:08

Good luck with the waiting... It's the noisy daunting period of the cycle... No pun intended 🙊.
12DPO is indeed the minimum.

Hjudge56 · 29/05/2023 08:05

@Starrr123 I actually had a chemical this month! :( I got a faint positive for a few days which was noticeable but soon became a BFN.

I fell pregnant again in November 2022 and am now 31+4 weeks with a baby girl :)
