BFP at 7 and 8 dpo? Could it be twins?

Hi, I got my first positive first response tests at 7 and 8 dpo. I last slept with my partner on the 31st of March one day before my app said I was due to ovulate. I know I can't have fallen pregnant any earlier than that because my partners away for work atm and we could only had sleep together one time in March on the 31st when I last got to see him so we really weren't trying. I'm guessing I must have implanted very early or could it be twins? Does anyone know how common it is to get positives this early on? 🤔

It's possible you ovulated a day earlier and so could be more like 8-9dpo (unless you track ovulation using bbt and know for sure when it happened). First response are also very sensitive and will pick up very early increases in HCG compared to most other tests. I got my BFP on 9dpo but it was dark enough for me to think I'd have got a line at 7-8 dpo if I'd have tested, and we're definitely only expecting 1 baby. That's not to say it won't be twins... you won't know that until a scan.

Good luck ❤️

I got a very strong line at 9 or 10dpo and it was twins.
