Good morning
please please please someone help me as I'm going mad
this is a bit about my story
found out I was pregnant but line very faint and no progression
started spotting at 4 weeks and went A & E bloods 22HCG and told threatened miscarraige
2 days later loads of blood and cramping thought it was over
I had a scan yesterday and no baby could be located i would have been 5 weeks exactly nothing obvious on the scan and couldn't see any evidence of baby but my bloods have rose slightly to 45..

now I am not naive and expecting a miracle the blood loss and the low rising HGC to me is confirmed mc in my head and I know I'm no longer pregnant but im terrified its ectopic.

has anyone got any experience they can please advise me as I'm going out my head im having more blood work done tomorrow !

Hiya, hope you're okay, it's a horrible thing to go through. I went through this in November.
Levels rising but no pregnancy located can indeed mean PUL, the only thing you can do is wait unfortunately. Your levels are very very low so try not to worry too much. Sometimes these things resolve themselves, but if you need treatment, there are drugs available now so not always a surgical option. Feel free to ask me any questions once you get your results. Good luck and take it easy x

Something similar has happened to be before. No pregnancy found but rising hgc. It turned out I had retained products from mc causing slow rising hgc. I had to take tablets to help get rid of this, or they offered me a d&c to remove it.
Just letting you know as this could be similar for you x

Hi there, so sorry you are going through this. I had this just over a year ago, almost exactly the same as you describe - low HCG and very slow rises, but nothing to be seen. I think because the numbers are on the lower/slower side then ectopic is less likely.
My HCG kept rising slowly, and so in the end I had a methotrexate injection to stop everything which worked. I didn't have any side effects, just a very frustrating time and then had to wait to TTC again. I've conceived at least once again, sadly another mc but a straightforward one at least.
Just to say I understand the frustration and worry and it feels a very long drawn out process. Take good care of yourself. Keep posting here if it helps xx

Hi lovely- so sorry!

This happened to me too and it was described as left over pregnancy tissue causing rise.. mine was a lot higher and no baby i ended up having to have a D&C as it was still high after weeks was awful, totally cruel. Xx
