Sainsbury's Test - what's this result?

Hi all! I've just done a Sainsbury's test and had this very thin blue line appear. Is this a positive or evap line (or something else)? Has anyone experienced this before? I found a thread which indicated Sainsbury's tests might not always be reliable so not sure what to think. Thank you 😊

I asked a similar question yesterday but the line was fainter then yours. I checked on it again about an hour later and it was darker and wider. I’m also not sure if it’s an evaporation line. I’ve read that evaporation lines should not have any colour. I did a CB digital this morning and it was negative though so I’m thinking it must have been an evaporation line for me. Do you have another test to try? SmileX

I'd be wary of skinny off-centre lines on blue dyes. In fact blue dye tests in general. Stick to pink ones - much less prone to dodgy dye runs and evaps.

Hello! I had my first positive result with a sainsburys pregnancy test.
I previously read all the rubbish reviews on them but they were cheap and j didn’t really think I was pregnant- just wanted to double check.
Within seconds a very strong blue line appeared directly in the middle.
In previous ones it looked like yours and was an evap line.
If you go back and check after the set amount of time then it sadly won’t be accurate.
I’d suggest buying another brand and trying with fmu. I did this just because I didn’t believe the sainsburys one 😂

Thanks everyone, your replies are helpful. I will test again with a pink dye test for confirmation :)

I would say positive

Hello

I’d also advise trying to get a pink dye like FRER, I had two false positives on these on a previous cycle but every other brand came up negative and I deffo got AF, so I’d say be wary! Good luck and hope it isn’t the same for you! X

I will never buy die test again stick with digital test as they are more reliable thought I was pregnant turned out to be evap lines I told people I was pregnant that day it broke me was totally heartbroken couldn't stop crying x

I wasn't pregnant. But I did not think this was a positive result given the thinness of the line, I'm not sure what it was caused by! I have seen the same about sainsburys tests giving false positives but on the other hand, I've used them before and had both correct positive and negative results.
