Ttc, two week wait...

Hi all,

I'm new here so sorry if I don't know all the abbreviations.
I'm 33 and in month six of Ttc, just got negative test (yet again!). I'm just wondering how everyone copes with the two week window after ovulation. I'm usually a very relaxed person but since Ttc I'm so on edge with every twinge I feel.
We use ovulation sticks and my cycle is always pretty regular.
Any tips?
Thanks x

@PennyPencils I know I shouldn’t compare but my last 2 pregnancies, although resulting in loss I never had any cramping in the two week wait and had strong lines at 10dpo!

It’s crazy how our bodies work, Its also easier for me to accept and look forward to the next cycle. The first 10 days of my cycle are also really refreshing as there’s no symptom spotting , testing or obsessing haha!!

Xx

@mrsmw132 Gosh i don't understand the levels so wouldn't know what it should be. The more tests etc, the more to be nervous about it feels. So jealous of those who fall easily and will luckily never know all of this.
I know when I've used opks at the end of the cycle, I've got quite dark lines just before I got AF and got excited, was bfn on an IC and I ready you can can a surge as you get your period.
Oh well, at least now I know eh?
Any more symptoms today?
I've got nothing today, maybe a bit if backache but that could be the yoga I did yesterday. 🙄

PennyPencils · 30/03/2022 21:13

@mrsmw132 ah thanks for that. I do that on my femometer app only it doesn't make a chart with it.

@Lifeafterloss22 I know exactly what you mean. When we DTD before the fertile window it's so much more enjoyable, I can have a couple of wine here and there, and then it all starts again.
Well we I think once we are successful and have our babies, which we will, we will have really earned them 😂

dogmum93 · 31/03/2022 00:13
@PennyPencils I use the easy@home kits. You open the camera on the testing app and it measures it.

I am going for a day 21 blood draw tomorrow.

When I was pregnant in Nov, my day 21 draw had a 48! I'm so nervous that tomorrows one is not as much.
Hi! I hope you don't mind me asking, we are going to start TTC for our first in October but I'm (hopefully irrationally) worried about my fertility. I think I might start to track my ovulation in the run up to trying, I have seen the easy@home tests. Do you have to pay for using the app? Thanks x

mrsmw132 · 31/03/2022 08:10

@dogmum93 I'm also a dog mum! A little spaniel!
The app is free. It's called Premom.
I think it's quite good and inexpensive. Others may have other suggestions.

Off for my bloods, will let you know how it goes

PennyPencils · 31/03/2022 08:30

@dogmum93 I use femometer app as it was the same brand as the bbt thermometer I got from Amazon. I find I can take a pic of the same test more than once and depending on the angle it changes the percentage on the app. So I use common sense and go by eye a bit too.

@mrsmw132 good luck. Fingers crossed for you x

Thank you! I'll definitely look into it then! Good luck with the bloods!!

mrsmw132 · 31/03/2022 16:05

@PennyPencils @dogmum93 the progesterone came back at 36.5
I would be lying if I knew what it meant other than I ovulated for sure.

PennyPencils · 31/03/2022 18:34

@mrsmw132 I am clueless about what these figures mean but that's good news then!

How are you feeling? Any symptoms?
My IC was a blank white again of course as I'm just 7dpo. Possible twinges in bag but easily pre AF symptoms so I'm not thinking anything of it

mrsmw132 · 31/03/2022 19:21

What day does everyone usually cave and start testing ?

mrsmw132 · 01/04/2022 04:14

Yes it is 4am, but very unlink me I couldn't sleep. So I did a pregnancy test at 8dpo.I know it could be line eyes, but I sure there was the faintest line on it.
Has a bit of spotting this morning and horrendous cramp yesterday so hoping it was implantation.
I'll keep you updated x

PennyPencils · 01/04/2022 06:33

@mrsmw132 Ooh great, it starts to get interesting now.
Hope you got back to sleep ok.
Can you post a picture. I love line eyes threads.
The cramps and spotting this early sounds very positive.

It was in the packet of the FRER and got a bit battered 😂
PennyPencils · 01/04/2022 08:17

@mrsmw132 that it battered 😂

I would absolutely let myself get a bit excited over that if I were you!

I've looked at mine 100 times and shockingly a faint line is refusing to appear. I'll probs do one tonight. I've had to order more as I've only got 4 left. That won't last!!!

It's soooooooo hard. I'm like externally - maybe it's just an indent, shadow or false positive.
Internally- I'm like, could this be our rainbow baby ?

PennyPencils · 01/04/2022 14:18

@mrsmw132 how exciting.
When I was pregnant in November, my afternoon tests were stronger than the FMU ones. Have you got more to try another if youve not had loads to drink to dilute it too much?
I've got my fingers very crossed for you

We tried one this avo- but it looked pretty negative. But it's only 8dpo- we aren't writing it off by any chance!
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

PennyPencils · 01/04/2022 15:53

@mrsmw132 it is so early. Implantation apparently most commonly occurs 9dpo, or so I read somewhere, so no chance of even a hint of a line before it's even implanted.

Roll on 12dpo when either way we can be fairly certain how we've done

PennyPencils · 02/04/2022 07:03

@mrsmw132 well. 9dpo and can't even pretend to myself there's a hint of a line.
I'm a bit crampy and slept really badly. My bbt chart isn't telling me anything. I was hoping for it to continue to increase bits it's leveled out the last three days.
All things pointing to not good, but can't say for sure yet
How are you doing?

mrsmw132 · 02/04/2022 07:36

@PennyPencils

Still that vvfl- but even my wife sees it, and she never entertains these faint lines or indents.

We for our first at 11dpo last time so we are not worried. I'm def feeling like something is brewing.

But as we all know- it's a weird game and there is literally no way of knowing.

I had all the symptoms last month and negative. Very little symptoms this month but still clinging to hope!

PennyPencils · 02/04/2022 07:42

@mrsmw132 well that's very promising.
I felt like my nipples were big last night but I was looking (inspecting) after a hot shower and it was so cold here last night.
I'd love something to give me a gilmmer of home.
Have the prosecco ready for AF day which is always a blow softener.
I've been promised by OH we will see the doc again if we don't do it this month so that's that as well. Nearly two years now so and at my age it's really now or never

mrsmw132 · 02/04/2022 21:03

@PennyPencils went out for dinner tonight and had some bleeding. Proper red.
Starting to lose my hopeful demeanour 💔

PennyPencils · 02/04/2022 21:43

@mrsmw132 oh no! At 8dpo? From all the things I read on here, it could definitely be implantation bleeding.
I've seen all sorts of stories on here people having varying bleeds and having successful pregnancies.
It couldn't be AF yet could it? Not if you know when you ovulated?

mrsmw132 · 02/04/2022 22:53

@PennyPencils I'm hoping it's implantation but starting to doubt my entire self.
I've had awful backache and cramping all day. Had to drive 2.5 hours to my nephews second birthday and felt sick the whole way with the cramps.
Am off to bed. The bleeding appears to have stopped, will update you in the morning with the inner workings of me
