One day post ovulation, I'd have thought. I'm no expert though.

Personally I’d say four days before ovulation IF you know for sure when you ovulated. The egg only lives on average around 24 hours after ovulation and it takes sperm time to reach the egg. But depends if you know for sure when you’ve ovulated or if you are just using LH tests for example.

I was tracking using an app but I can't be 100% sure when I ovulated. I felt the usual crampiness on the day my app said I was ovulating so it could be right. Interesting that the 2 replies are different 🙈

Pre ovulation . If genuinely 1day post ovulation then by the time the sperm swim up, the egg is done with and gone

Most likely the pre ovulation. Sperm lives for up to 5days whereas the egg only 24hrs. However, both can get you pregnant

Thanks everyone. Very interesting, I need to do a bit more reading up on this. Our bodies are amazing
