Lloyd's Pharmacy changed their pregnancy test?

Hi, I've used Lloyd's Pharmacy pregnancy tests beginning of last year. No problem. Easy to use.

I bought one the other day and having trouble... They've changed the part you pee on from just the sponge / absorbent thing to a plastic thing with gaps. Idk if it's the gaps or what but I can't get the control line to appear?!

I'm not peeing any differently to when I used the "old one" which was just the sponge, not the plastic thing with gaps. That old one just worked no problem, but I can't get this one to.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I feel so stupid lol 🥴

I say "bought one" but there's two in the box and I've essentially wasted both. I don't have the money atm to just buy more and try agen and fail getting control line, or to buy the more expensive ones...

Thanks, I just feel so stupid. I don't know what I'm doing wrong since I'm doing exactly the same as I did with the other ones (I only used one of the "old" style ones a couple months back and worked easy peasy). The instruction doesn't state any difference in how to use, as far as I can see.

I commented I already used both and had the same problem twice. I feel like an idiot. I am peeing the same and the instructions don't say anything different as far as I can tell

@Hijustonequestion you could try peeing in a clean plastic cup and dipping

Collect urine sample in a cup and dip it
