Implantation signs but BFN - advice and experiences needed!

Hi all,

I came off the pill 4 weeks ago and have had no withdrawal bleed or period. Around 2 weeks after coming off it I noticed some EWCM, and for 24 hours around that time I had cramping that felt like period pains (not to one side, had to take paracetamol because they were strong). Don’t know if they were ovulation pains. We DTD twice around that time and also once a week later. It’s now 12 days after the second occasion we did DTD and 5 days after the last time we DTD. Yesterday I had period like cramps (low, dull ache/pressure) and a bit of lower back pain all day. Plus one random sharp pain. That has now stopped and this morning I had a really small amount of bright, dark pink spotting when I wiped (definitely there but only very very small amount, like 2 spots). Had a BFN this morning.

What would you do/think if you were me? Could it be implantation? Could I have been ovulating a few weeks ago? Am I going mad and making this all up in my head because o want to be pregnant??!!

Unfortunately pre period symptoms are exactly the same as pre Bfp. My guess sadly is that spotting is the start of your first post pill period. Can take a while for a normal cycle to kick in x

Thanks for your message. I’d be ok with it being my period tbh - just anything going on down there is a good sign 😂 It would be nice to have my period start to return because then I can start to track things properly and have more of an idea of what’s going on! I’d be happy to rule out pregnancy with a period - it’s the limbo thing I can’t stand.

@WednesdayStar4 Hi, hope you don't me jumping on.. what you said above / the timings everything is pretty much exactly the same as what I have gone through!!

May I ask was it your withdrawal bleed? Or did you get your BFP and think it was implantation bleed?

It turned out I was pregnant but unfortunately it was an ectopic pregnancy. So the spot of blood can’t have been implantation bleeding because the pregnancy was in my Fallopian tube. I don’t know what it was thinking about it, I forgot that even happened! That pregnancy is now over and I’m back TTC again!
