How easy is it to get pregnant ? Advice please

Hi , so me and my partner had sex the other day . ( unprotected) stupidly 🤦🏼‍♀️ . Normally we use condoms but in the heat of the moment just didn't this once ! I know how silly I am for doing it . I'm not on the pill or anything due to my own reasons .

Iv looked on my Flo app and the day we had sex I'm ovulating , ( also I can tell when I am due to discharge etc ) is it possible for me to get pregnant on this one occasion ? We wouldn't mind another child , but I'm a bit scared that I could of possibly conceived . Iv spoken to the chemist and they have said I can't have the morning after pill as it's too late .

Please Any advice ? I feel I'm definitely fertile as I conceived 3m after giving birth to my daughter ! Please no hate , ( we always normally use condoms just this time we didn't 🤦🏼‍♀️ )

When my eldest was 1 year old me and my husband had an oops moment, we only did it once that month. My 2nd was born 8 and a half months later!

I'm accidentally pregnant from having sex 2 days before ovulation so yes, it can be that easy.

When you are ovulating it really does just take one time for it to be successful, and can be anywhere in the 6 days or more of the ovulation period.

How likely it is depends on lots of factors. Your peak fertile age is about 20-25 I think.
I'm 32 and I've got about a 1 in 5 chance of falling pregnant if I have sex when ovulating.

Oh gosh , I'm 23 ! I will speak with the dr tomorrow see if I can have the emergency pill , the chemist said it's too late ! X

The morning after pill works by preventing ovulation - if you've already ovulated it is completely pointless taking it.

I don’t know if you can get a coil fitted to prevent implantation or if it’s also too late.

It’s absolutely totally possible to get pregnant after one time sex if you are ovulating, which you say you were.

Hope you are prepared for a shock.

If you had sex the day of ovulation or day before then you have about a quarter to third chance of conceiving. Now you have ovulated the emergency contraception is useless and will not work.

I mean I’m going to hazard a guess that you know the answer to this question.

The morning after pill won't work if you have ovulated. The chemist was right, it's too late for that. (It works by preventing ovulation).

Would "your reasons" for not being on contraception prevent you having a coil fitted? As pp said, this is probably your only option now, you have 2 days to get it done (up to 5 days after sex), so I'd ring the doctors about that ASAP. At least then you will also have contraception sorted too

Obviously it's possible. And much more likely around ovulation time. Dh and I did it once at ovulation and Im now pregnant. But other couples may do it several times and not conceive. There are so many factors and sometimes sheer luck involved that it's totally pointless to ask others. Leave it a week and do a test.

Get a coil fitted today or tomorrow to prevent implantation. The chemist should have told you that was an option if you've already ovulated.

Iv gone to the toliet his morning and I'm spotting , my period is not due for about 10 days ? Anyone know what this could be I'm freaking out x

Could be implantation bleeding OP

Could also just be spotting due to starting the coil.
