12DPO test says BFP, digital test says BFN?!?

I was super excited to get my first BFP after 14 months trying... did a clearblue digital EARLY this morning with FMU and it says not pregnant?!

Did another CB early the regular kind and the line is clear as day and has progressed since yesterday?

What on earth is going on 😭 why does the digi say not pregnant when it is supposed to do 5 days before period and I'm only 2/3 days before period?!

The digitals are nowhere near as sensitive.

Use a First Response Early Result test instead.

@Annabelle0852 as @justsippingsometea said, the digital is less sensitive. I know, they can pick up a pregnancy up to 5 days before AF is due, but that's just in some cases. It's a bit misleading. They say that it's 99% accurate if they detect a pregnancy. Not that they will catch 99% of all pregnancies 5 days earlier.

I did some digging and it looks like the digital is 25mIU/ml whereas the regular ultra early is 10mIU/ml.

I'm trying to keep my cool and stay positive but after so long it drives you crazy 🤪 this is what I get for testing early... 🙈

@Annabelle0852 see? I think the 25mIU/ml will start detecting hcg in maybe two days, or even tomorrow. I'd suggest to step away from testing for two days or so :)
