Waiting to ttc 🌻 Anyone else?

Sunnymummy3 · 07/03/2022 17:11

Hello! After this current packet, I am coming off my pill then waiting a few months to eat healthy, let my cycle go back to normal then track ovulation... then hoping to start ttc in July 🙂 Very excited, and a little nervous.

Is anyone else waiting to try?

Hi all!
Can I join? Planning to start TTC on 1st July when my Flo app says I'm in the fertile zone!! This will be my second baby, DS is 2.5 nearly. I am terrified and excited all at the same time.
DS took a couple of months but I am over 3 years older now so hoping it doesn't take too long to fall pregnant.
Sending you all baby dust x

Mano2020 · 16/05/2022 14:43

@elliebb92 welcome to the thread. You sound similar to me. My little one is just turning two and i am hoping to ttc in July also. Wish you all the best and hopefully we shall hear lots of good news here in the next couple of weeks/months x

fancyfrogs · 16/05/2022 19:50

@Mano2020 yep - another frer, onestep and clear blue today - all unmistakably positive and darker than yesterday! It's not sinking in haha. We're over the moon but Im definitely in shock 😂 we're off on holiday in 3 weeks so have booked a very early scan for around 6+3, just so I know things are as they should be before we go. So holiday and a weekend away with friends imminent - hence the initial plan to wait a little longer but hey 😁😂

Mano2020 · 16/05/2022 20:42

@fancyfrogs Congratulations! I am so happy for you! You must be so excited it must still feel so surreal. You must be looking forward to the first scan. I think a nice holiday or two will do you the world of good especially the early days when you need to relax and take it easy. Keep us posted on your pregnancy. Fingers crossed you have a enjoyable healthy pregnancy x

Sunnymummy3 · 19/05/2022 12:13

I got no notifications through of activity on the thread until just now, can't believe what i missed!

Ahhh how exciting @fancyfrogs congratulations, such a brilliant woops for you 😊😊, how did your other half react? You will be so happy on holiday thinking about it all especially after the scan... will you tell your friends about it on your weekend do you think? Hoping you have started a good trend on here for lots of early bfp for everyone. 🙂

@elliebb92 Hi! Not long for you to wait now then, so exciting 😁 I also have a 2 and (nearly 5) year old. I was just thinking, I might have read the comments wrong, but I think everyone on here that already has children all seem to have boys? The boy thread lol

I have been really worrying about ttc lately and wondering if I should put it off another few months to have an even bigger gap then i'm worrying what if it takes ages to conceive then i will regret not trying now. Think i'm overcomplicating everything lol.

Aw thanks @Sunnymummy3, DH is over the moon! Still feels a bit surreal, hoping it sinks in more after the scan ☺️ going to try my best to avoid my friends finding out - it's actually a hen weekend and don't want to be stealing anyones thunder so hoping I can disguise it as would rather wait longer to tell them anyway. Though thinking I might tell 1 close friend so she can help me with any clever drink swapping if needed!
I'm excited for you all to start trying when the times right. It's hard - I wonder if you ever feel truly 'ready' so to speak, there will probably always be things you'd rather do/sort/plan first. It's not an easy decision to make is it! X

Mano2020 · 19/05/2022 22:09

@Sunnymummy3 i think you are right. I think we do all have boys. I am feeling exactly like you. Sometimes i think maybe i will wait then i think i do not want to leave it too late. Maybe i will just go with the flow and see what happens.

@fancyfrogs hope you enjoy the hen weekend. Look after yourself and keep us posted with everything 🙂

Sunnymummy3 · 20/05/2022 10:16

@fancyfrogs That is very good of you for the hen weekend, I think most places do mocktails etc now too so hopefully that should make things easier. No it really isn't easy to decide especially if like me you are indecisive lol. All the best for the scan and have a nice time on your holidays. 😎

@Mano2020 Quite funny, will be interesting to see what everyone has next.
Glad to know i'm not alone. I think to myself ds2 is now older than ds1 was when his brother was born (if that makes sense) but there's no way I could have a newborn right now, I try to think in a year how different and more independent they will be and also that if we leave too big a gap it might be unfair on youngest as they will be left out in future... oh now I have convinced myself to ttc in July again 🤣 I think I can't wait for another but at the same time I am scared of day to day life with 3 because it's the unknown.

Sorry that was all a bit deep for 10am, don't mind me just ranting to complete strangers online 🤣 Hope everyone has a good Friyay! 😊 x

Mano2020 · 20/05/2022 14:22

@Sunnymummy3 hahaha that did make me laugh. I know what you mean. It is so hard to make a decision and stick to it. A bit like my healthy eating which just went down the drain as i just tucked into a huge slice of cake and coffee 😂 i will make today my cheat day. I am just going to try and go with the flow and whatever happens will happen but then i do like to plan and be organised. I think we are in the same boat haha

Sunnymummy3 · 23/05/2022 16:26

@Mano2020 ha ha, don't worry about the cake, as long as you have an apple after then it's a balanced diet 😉. I have been bad at the weekends but good through the week which makes me feel better about it. 😄

fancyfrogs · 13/07/2022 13:57

Hi ladies! How are you getting on, has anyone started trying yet? Hope you're all doing ok x

Sunnymummy3 · 14/07/2022 13:42

Hi @fancyfrogs 🙂 how did your scan, holiday and hen doo all go? Hope you are doing well?

We have decided to wait actually until October now before trying. I just feel like it's a better time age gap wise and a few other things so i'm still waiting lol x

OP posts:
Mano2020 · 14/07/2022 15:08

Hi, hope you are all well.

I have been thinking about you all and how you are getting on.

@fancyfrogs how is it going?

@Sunnymummy3 I am the same as you, waiting a little longer before we start.

Hope everyone is enjoying the very hot weather 🙂 I am boiling!

fancyfrogs · 14/07/2022 15:17

@Sunnymummy3 ah they were all lovely thanks, thankfully not had much sickness or awfulness so been ok! Though a few friends did guess - they were very sweet and no one said anything to me until I told them weeks later and they said they had their suspicions 😅 October will be here in no time, it seems this year is flying by

@Mano2020 good thank you - yes this weather is lovely! Apart from when I actually have to work or do anything and DS has been awful at bed times with the heat 🥵

All going really well so far here though thank you, 12+2 now. Where is the time going! Have my first consultant appointment in 2 weeks so a bit nervous about that but hopefully will reassure me going forwards x

Waiting to ttc 🌻 Anyone else?
Mano2020 · 14/07/2022 16:20

@fancyfrogs so happy it is all going well for you. Cannot believe your 12 weeks already time is going so fast. Hope you are managing ok in the heat i can imagine it must be hard with the little one too. I invested in an air con last year, it is noisy but the room is pure bliss at night. Scan pic 😍 so excited for you

Sunnymummy3 · 14/07/2022 22:22

Not really liking this setup of new messages at the top, then having to scroll to the bottom to reply so you can't see the messages you are replying to. Does anyone else find it harder, or maybe I am just old 🤣

@fancyfrogs aw what a great scan picture, it's so clear, and all so real feeling for you now i'm sure. What is your due date?

@Mano2020 when are you planning on waiting until? Did you continue your healthy eating?
Ooh very nice with air con, it's hard to sleep when you are too hot isn't it

OP posts:
Mano2020 · 14/07/2022 22:59

@Sunnymummy3 i know what you mean about the new setup. I have discovered if you click the icon on the top right of the chat with the two arrows pointing opposite ways it brings the latest response to the top. I have been scrolling all the way down too until i discovered this.

I am going to wait until the end of August. My little boy turned two last month and we are going through some home renovations so have been busy with all that.

Healthy eating... well not as well as i wanted to. I have however just ordered a cross trainer and rowing machine to get a little bit more active before trying. I am also trying to drink more water and this hot weather has helped a lot. I am still indulging in some sweet treats but i am going to try and limit this to once a week.

How is it going with you?

Sunnymummy3 · 16/07/2022 21:31

@Mano2020 I can't see 2 arrows, maybe it's my phone. But I look and try dif options to find it, thank you!

Not long to wait at all then! 🙂

Oh very good, that will be fun and different ways to work out. I have been yoyoing a bit, everytime i say right I will be good we end up out for a meal or something. Lol.

fancyfrogs · 17/07/2022 16:10

Ah I'm on the app so seems the same for me!

@Sunnymummy3 due 24th January. Hoping more than anything to make it to December, that's my goal for now! DS was prem and I feel sick at the thought of going through that again. Will take it week by week

My healthy eating had been going well and had lost a few lbs, not as much as I hoped but 'normal' BMI now so know I shouldn't complain. Just seem to want all the sugar and sweet things now so conscious I will be piling it on but I'll deal with that later now 😂

Mano2020 · 18/07/2022 12:54

Haha! It is so hard to eat clean. I think i purchased the exercise machines just to help me mentally think i am being healthy but its just so hard. I am still eating what i like but i am trying to add more fruit into my diet and this hot weather is helping with that.

@fancyfrogs fingers crossed your pregnancy continues smoothly. Plenty of rest when you need it, December will be here before you know it. So excited for you. I do not remember if i asked but are you going to find out the gender or keeping it a surprise? ❤️

Sunnymummy3 · 18/07/2022 16:34

@fancyfrogs That must of been really hard and a worrying time. They do say every pregnancy/birth is different so with that positive thought in mind, I really hope this time is different and you get to take dc2 straight home. 🙂

Lol pregnancy is the best excuse to eat all the naughty foods and not suck in your tummy anymore 😄 x

OP posts:
Sunnymummy3 · 18/07/2022 16:42

Sorry trying to read each chat then quickly scroll down and reply before i forget what it said @Mano2020 😄 oh yes when anyone is coming round to your house just set them up with a towel and bottle of water beside them and they will assume they are well used 😎 x

How are you finding the heat, both of you? I have enjoyed a breeze and day with paddling pool in garden but I know bedtime will be a different matter. Have you had your air con on mano? x

OP posts:
Mano2020 · 18/07/2022 17:06

@Sunnymummy3 haha good idea! Sounds like you had a nice day. I have been cleaning the garage over the weekend so a lot of stuff is still in the Garden needing to be put back. I tackled some of it this morning before work and will do the rest in the evening once it gets a bit cooler or should i say if it gets any cooler.

I have been indoors most of the day working but air con is definitely switched on at 6pm so i can sleep nicely through the night. It would be boiling without it upstairs.

Hope you get a comfortable sleep today both of you.

TobySpaniel · 20/07/2022 01:15

Me! My boy turns one in September. Waiting until December to TTC as that's the earliest I would want to be pregnant. With DS1 fell pregnant almost immediately after coming off the pill so need to factor in the possibility of that happening again, for better or worse!
December gives us (gave us!) a September baby and I'd like to avoid having a youngest-in-the-school-year baby if possible

Sunnymummy3 · 26/07/2022 21:34

Hi @TobySpaniel sorry, I only get notifications through the odd time so always miss alot and missed your post. Yes hopefully being one of the older ones in class will make things easier :) December will be here before you know it!
