10DPO VVFL OH says "don't get your hopes up"

Hi All,

We've been trying for over a year, been referred to fertility specialist but for the first time EVER in 14 months I SEE A LINE.

I'm only 10DPO, tested just now after an afternoon nap on FRER so no morning wee.

It is sooo faint (because its early and FMU but it came up well within the time and to the eye it's faintly pink.

I never see evaps - is this my first and OH is right not to get my hopes up or do you see it too?!

Obvs will test again in the morning but I'm shaking in shock and need to know if I'm going mad!

I can see a faint line in the middle picture!
My dh said the same to me, we had been trying for over a year and I had just started new medication when I finally got my positive test.
I was excited but he told me to take it slow and not to get my hopes up. Not because he was being mean but was trying to protect my feelings.
Try again tomorrow or in a couple of days and hopefully will be a darker line! Best of luck!

Definitely something on that middle one!! I can see why he’d want to be guarded as it’s been so long trying but that doesn’t make it easy to hear. But definitely retest!!

I know I'm one of those people I typically roll my eyes at who totally tested at the wrong time and early, then wonders why they're in am-I-aren't-I limbo 🙈

I have never wanted tomorrow morning to come so much 🤯

Not sure if this is helpful or not but my four pregnancies I’ve never had a line before 12dpo at all and I tend to test better in a afternoon on a 4+ hour hold. So even if there’s nothing tomorrow you’re not out!!!

I took two this morning FRER and CB early and there's a faint BFP on both.

Other people can see that, right?!

Hmmm not sure about a faint BFP, that frer is obvious!!! Mine looked like that yesterday and it was enough for a digital to confirm (same pee, probably wouldn’t have with later/diluted stuff!) ahhh I’m so happy for you!!!

My clear blue looked like that at 9dpo (horrendous headache gave it way that I was pregnant again after a miscarriage!) and I'm now 12 weeks! That's definitely a positive congratulations ❤️🥰

Ahhhhh!!!! I can't believe after all this time and having never seen so much as a hint of a line its here!!!! First BFP ever. 😱

I keep rocking between shock, awe, crying and feeling blessed.

I'm going to pick up a digi for tomorrow morning and hoping it'll sink in a bit more once I see the words printed in black and white.

Looks pretty conclusive. I would be the same as you - many many congratulations. I really want to feel those cloud 9 feels. Enjoy them. I'm nearly on the same time TTC as you and it is exhausting isn't it. Did you do anything different this month or was this just the right time for you do you think? Had you done any testing at this point? xx

@FlyOnTheWall89 it's really really hard. I went through a period of being surrounded by baby announcements and it was just awful.

We literally just got referred this cycle for further fertility tests. Preliminary tests were "fine" (swimmers swam and they confirmed I ovulated). It's such weird timing!

The only thing different this cycle was knowing the above which maybe gave a bit of confidence/positivity boost and I tried CB ovulation tests. I had been using just IC ones (easy @ home or equivalent) before.

I hope you get there soon, the road is tough. ❤️✨️

@Annabelle0852 we have just been referred too and my mindset has definitely changed. Can't believe everything was totally fine and it's taken 14 months. It's such a varied journey for each person, some so so lucky and some just have to wait so much longer.

So pleased for you. It's really great to hear it does happen. Good luck with the months ahead and remember that BFP blissful feeling. Xx

It is so unbelievably varied. My best friend got pregnant with a "whoospie" baby as I call it. Other friend got pregnant first month trying, first month off the pill. Then in the last couple months two more people I know with "whoopsies". And here was me 14 months in!

I just got my digital BFP tonight which is like finding out all over again. It's so strange seeing it written in black and white. The new anxiety is about mc... 😬🙏

I really hope you get your bfp soon. 🤞
