Chemical pregnancy but no period

Hi ladies, I think I'm having a chemical pregnancy but my period still hasn't arrived and I'm not sure if I just need to wait it out or go to the doctor.

The clearblue is from Tuesday at 12dpo. I tested the next day (Weds) with a FRER and there was barely a line (no image, I was so upset I just binned it).

I've been waiting for my period for the last 48hrs and not a thing. I took another FRER this morning and it's a true bfn (in the pic). Still no sign of period. I'll wait over the weekend before calling the doc but I'm so confused - surely I should have bled as soon as the HCG reached 0 and there was barely a line on Weds. I know that isn't a lot of time for my body to sort itself out but I'm so desperate for AF to come so I can draw a line under this sad, almost pregnancy.

Anybody with similar experiences?

I'm so sorry this has happened to you, I've had a few CP's and normally after the negative test I spot the following day then bleed properly the day after that

It's so horrible. There's still a part of me that thinks what if it is a bad batch of FRERs but I know that is clutching at straws. I should have pronounced lines by now.

Hopefully I'll start spotting soon

I just want to put a more positive reason to you....

I wonder if the clear blue is actually an evap as the line is thin and looks a bit off to me.

The FRER could actually be your faint BFP just coming... unless you are sure 100% on your ovulation dates

Yep I can see a line on your frer too. It's faint though so this may well be a chemical pg.

Wait a couple of days and test again with a frer. Sorry it's all so uncertain op.

The line eyes were useful as I couldn't see anything but it might explain why my period isn't here yet and that it may be a few more days

Hi @LaForza101 I'm so sorry to hear that, really upsetting to have hopes raised like that. I had a CP last month, positive test 2 days before AF due and positives with weaker lines for 2 days before negatives. 2 days after AF due had really strong cramps all day and AF arrived that night and was pretty heavy/clotty. Hope you get some more clarity soon.
I'm confused as to whether or not the bleed after chemical is considered a period or not, and if it is CD1 again? Anyone any advice?

Hi @martinamkm, I'm so sorry this happened to you too. My period arrived over night which is both sad and a relief. At least I'm no longer in limbo. I'm treating today as CD1 as the lining is going to be shed so I think it will prompt a new cycle

Thanks @LaForza101 sorry to hear your period came but def good to be out of limbo. Fingers crossed for this month. I thought that about CD1 but just wasn't sure. Had a smear yest and was explaining to nurse just in case - she said she had never heard of a CP 🙈 and that there was some blood in my cervix so not too hopeful for this month 😌
