Any experienced BBT charters fancy looking at my chart?

Hi all,

I've only just started BBT charting I have missed the odd day here and there because sometimes my children get up in the night or I have an unsettled night where I'm waking up constantly. But I'm hoping someone wouldn't mind taking a look and just explaining it a bit for me.

My chart doesn't have a 'cover line' is this because there isn't enough data yet?

The temp dips I'm seeing now are they indicating my AF should arrive within a day or so?

Any help explaining my chart would help.

I'm just a bit worried my progesterone might not be great as I haven't got a very big or sustained rise after ovulation. But I'm new to this so could be completely wrong.

Thanks

I would say you ovulated on CD15 judging by your chart and CM data, try and temp every day as best as you can for FF to have as much data 😀 temps usually most of the time drop when AF is coming. An ideal LP length is 14 days 🙂

Thank you. I am going to start temping more consistently this coming cycle now that I'm more familiar with it all. I think I've come on my period today. So my luteal phase hasn't been long enough which worries me a bit. Hopefully next cycle I will be back to my usual 28 day cycles. (Past 3 have been shorter since a loss in the autumn)

@MixedUpChameleon if you came on today and it's an 11day LP then thats absolutely fine.

As for the cover line - you didn't get one as there just weren't enough data points for it to detect a shift really.

Good luck with the next cycle!

@mixedupchameleon sorry to hear about your loss, definitely keep things consistent 🙏 and good luck. Also I conceived my children with a 12 day LP (I have fertility issues though) so don't panic. If your spotting alot during your LP alongside a shorter LP I'd worry about LP issues.

The first cycle after my loss was 21 days, 2nd was 25 and this cycle I have started spotting on cycle day 26. So I think slowly but surely things are getting back on track.

Very reassuring to hear you have conceived with a 12 day luteal phase. Did you find the 12 day luteal an issue when TTC?

Thank you. I'm quite looking forward to properly temping this month.

Reassuring to hear luteal phase of 11 days is ok. I have seen mixed things online about it.

@MixedUpChameleon your lack of cover line is probably to do with the missed temp days & also times not being consistent, but apart from that it looks like you ov'd which is good! Also a side note, I have an LP of 10 days, temp only rose about 0.3/4• after ov & have conceived 4 times, so hopefully yours shouldn't hold you back! All the best!

Juno231 · 24/02/2022 22:07

@MixedUpChameleon I think rule of thumb is anything in the double digits for LP is good. Tbh a 12 day LP is what I see the most on here I think? Super normal!

That's great to hear. Thank you.

Yes I will definitely be temping more consistently this month. I have set an alarm for 5:45 this month so hopefully It'll be more consistent.

That's good. Yesterday was 12dpo according to FF and I started to spot but today would be cycle day 27 and is first day of heavy flow so I feel my luteal phase is slowly getting a bit longer. It was under 10 days in December. Jan it was 11 and this month 12/13.

Thanks for your help with my chart.
