TTC number 2

Hi all!

So I joined Mumsnet when ttc child #1 and found it lovely to talk to women in the same situation!

About me... my son has just turned 2 and I have been off the pill for around 2/3 weeks now.
I have started to track my periods and ovulation via apps, not specifically to help with conception but more so to know when to expect periods as I've been so used to knowing exactly when to expect a bleed!
Having said that, I was predicted to ovulate on the 15th feb so let's see what this month brings! Never expecting to fall pregnant so quickly after coming off the pill but I guess you never know hey.

Would love to hear from others in a similar situation ☺️

Sorry about your period fs its annoying isn't it.. i become obsessed with it im like stop that 🤦🏽‍♀️

Im just hanging on in there till test time. I have symptoms but unsure if its just AF getting geared up after coming off the coil or not. Will test in a week or so! Xx

Also girls- i'm not really all that clued up with the ovulation sticks. I'll await AF on 1st march (hope it dosen't turn up and im actually pregnant wishful thinking 🤣)

But when do i start peeing on those sticks and what app is it you all use to put results in? Xx

I had serious pregnancy symptoms at the end of last week, first two tests I did were positive - rushed out to buy more and they all came back negative so I have no idea what’s going on!

Hi, I’m also TTC #2 currently have a two year old girl . This will be first cycle. Periods are all over the place at the minute so I’ve brought clear blue ovulation tests and hoping that helps! Anything else I can try. I’m predicted to ovulate on Sunday according to the app. Good luck everyone x

Ahh thats so strange 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ what preg test did you use and was it at diff times you tested ? X

I used to basic strip tests and they both came back positive, in the same cup of wee (first of the day) 😂
Then it was a few hours later, and the next morning I did a clearblue, another strip test and a Morrisons own and they were all negative! So bizzare!

@Mumm1 my boy has bags of energy too! Sometimes I wonder how on earth I'm even going to manage his energy plus a baby but who knows, a little brother or sister may mellow him out a bit haha.
I think that's where I am. I need to be realistic that it's not going to happen straight away. Thing is with me I'm just too impatient and once I get an idea in my head I'll keep obsessing over it!

I used easy@home ovulation strips. They were off Amazon and pretty affordable. They're very easy to use - just pee in a cup and then dip it to the line for 5 seconds. Lay it flat and wait. They were very useful to me as the app was predicting ovulation way before I actually was! Wishing you all the best 🙂

Did you test OP? After the pill it may take a few cycles to become regular. Good luck x

Hello hope yous don't mind me joining 🙂. I'm 27 and ttc no 2. My daughter will be 1 in 2 weeks. We weren't planning on anymore yet but last month we had a surprise pregnancy and got excited but unfortunately mc at 5 weeks so we decided to go for it. Af due on Friday and bfn the last few days so she's definitely on her way 🙈

@IsabelHerna thank you for the good luck wishes! No test for me as sadly came on my period. But you're right, it will take a bit of time to become regular again I think. I've finally come to terms with that this week 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

@Catred4 @TTCBABYNO2xx ah... Girls, you will never believe what happened... Took blood tests for the doctor and they came out negative. It seems like the test I took that day was faulty. 😞 I'm now one week late, still nauseous and dizzy but not pregnant. Doctor says let's wait and I'll keep her posted. I don't know what we're waiting for, though... AF? Well, hopefully? I just want the next cycle to start.

@Catred4 unfortunately no, the doctor asked me to take the blood test twice, so it's definitely not wrong.
