How long after MC did you get a BFN ?

I MC at around 5/6 weeks 11 days ago.
Had cramps, clots and a fair amount of bleeding for the first 4 days and the bleeding was lighter with small clots and the past few days dark brown "goop" only.
However my tests are still showing faint positives and don't seem to be getting lighter for the past week.

Is this normal ?
How long did other peoples tests take to return to negative ?
Also how long after the MC did you get your BFP ? (For some positivity) ♥️

1 week in my case but I had had surgical intervention
I don’t recommend it but it turned out ok eventually

I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and just tested negative today, almost 3 weeks after.

The day of . I woke up with a bad feeling ,took a cbdigital which should have said 2-3 weeks but it came up not pregnant and I bled later that day.

Very roughly hcg halves every 2 days - so if you had very high levels in the tens of thousands it can take a few weeks to reach zero x

I had a mmc at the end of October - heartbeat stopped at around 6 weeks but didn’t miscarry until 10 weeks - and it took me 5 weeks to get a negative test. I got my bfp in January after a couple of weird cycles. Hope it happens quickly for you xx

My reading 4 days after was only 92 hcg so I was exacting it to go quickly, that was a week ago now.
I'm so worried there's retained tissue😣

Sorry you're in this shitty situation- so surreal hoping for a negative test!
I had a miscarriage around 6-7 weeks on New Year's Eve and bled/spotted for 12 days. It took almost three weeks for me to get a negative pregnancy test after that. The EPU told me at the time that they would expect a negative test after a week as my levels were dropping so fast, so I found the extra waiting really hard! It is normal though.

Not got my BFP yet, but the positive is that I did ovulate last week, so currently going through the TWW.

I've had 4 miscarriages now, 2 of which I've had retained products of conception. This latest miscarriage I had surgical management but still taken over 4 weeks to get a negative because of retained products.

Weird Q but do retained products come away on there own ?

3.5 weeks (medical miscarriage at 6 weeks)

My retained products always came away with my next period. I would have called the ward if I'd felt ill before then though because I think you can get an infection if you have retained products.

It can be up to 3 weeks without any intervention needed but you need to keep the clinic informed and let them know that it's still coming through positive after the 10 day mark as that can be a sign of some retained material that can go on to cause infection, so you will need to be monitored for other symptoms of infection - if that happens you can get ill very quickly. Do you have people around you who know what you have been through and know to get you immediate treatment if you are suddenly very feverish etc?

Update :
I've finally got a complete BFN (after a few days of vvv faint lines) 16 days after my MC no pain or bleeding for a while now.
My OPKs are nice and high (no peak yet) but it's looking like I'll Ovulate in the next few days 🤞🏼🌈🎉
