TTC after surgical abortion

I had an abortion at 15 weeks, it was such a hard thing to do and I didn’t have a lot of time to make my decision but afterwards when I really started to research I’ve become terrified that it may effect my fertility. I do want another baby in the future and I’m scared that this is going to ruin my chances.

Can I hear experiences, have you had a surgical abortion and able to conceive afterwards? Did it take long to fall pregnant?

@Anamae1223 I'm so sorry you had to go through this, whatever the reason was.
One of my best friends had to terminate her pregnancy when she was 14 weeks along due to health issues. It was devestating. But she conceived two cycles after that, it didn't stick though. She got pregnant again two or three cycles later and has a perfectly healthy baby. You will be alright!

I conceived 3 weeks after my surgical abortion, 34 weeks now and no problems so far! I remember being afraid it would hurt my fertility but the nurse talked me through loads of research and studies and if it was done by a certified doctor etc. then you will probably be absolutely fine.

I hope you are doing ok, whatever the reason abortion is horrific.
