Evening everyone
Very confused and in shock at the moment.
A few days ago I had a bit of spotting, then yesterday had a sharp pain in my ovary. Recently started on the combined pill (2 weeks ish ago) to control irregular and heavy periods so although my period is calculated to be due around now, technically i wasn’t expecting it until I finish my pill pack.
Woke up during the night last night and THOUGHT I had wet the bed as my pjs and sheets were soaking but when I stood up and stripped off I still had streams of it coming down my legs and I couldn’t control it. It also smelled kind of sweet (not like urine at all). My first thought is I must have had a cyst up there somewhere that’s burst which would explain my strange periods and painful sex.
Called my gp who sent me to a&e. The doctor there was confused about what the fluid was but confirmed by my blood tests that I had raised hcg levels. (I didn’t ask what the actual level was but by my dates I should be 4+5). This is completely unexpected as I’ve consistently been on contraception for months and my periods have been so irregular, long and heavy.
Has anyone experienced this or know what it could be? I’m so worried about what the fluid actually was, they looked at my cervix and inside my vagina and said it all looked fine and there was no infection or fluid.
