Presumed implantation and then period

Morning. Absolutely gutted to wake up to AF this morning after having what I thought was an implantation bleed on Saturday, mild cramps Friday and Saturday, sore boobs - you get the picture.

Has anyone had this and is there any medical explanation for it? Did it happen more than once? I've never had spotting/bleeding outside of my period and we've been trying for a year so it just seems so odd and I'm just so confused. Why won't my body do what it's supposed to do?

I didn't want to not say anything but I don't have much advice just I'm so sorry your going through this I've had spotting in between periods before so I know it's normal I can't imagine the disappointment you felt waking up to your period

Sorry @pizzaobsessed. I have the most regular cycles for years, and I swear the moment I started TTC they went crazy and all over the place. I even started spotting once. Didn't happen again though.
I don't test early though, so I wouldn't know if it would have been a chemical pregnancy, or I don't know, maybe a fertilised egg that didn't implant. I think sometimes it's better to not know. At least for me.
Fingers crossed for you that next month is going to be your month!

Something else; did you start taking different vitamins maybe?

@Bundaberg84 You're absolutely right, as soon as we started TTC my body just decided to go into trick mode! My cycles are regular and I'm definitely ovulating which is great, but it continues to throw me new symptoms each month just to fool me!

Yes I started Seven Seas Trying for a Baby vitamins though I did take them for about 3 months last year with no changes. Could be down to those I guess.
