Period 7 days late but negative first response test

Hi my periods are normally regular and about 26 to 28 days. My period is about 7 days late and feeling tired and noticed quite sudden watery discharge, assumed was period but no wasn't.

I did a first response early detection today and it's negative, does this mean I'm definitely not pregnant ?

Has anyone else tested negative on an early detection test 7 days late and turned out to be pregnant ?

I'm 12 days late and got a bfp!!

Hi and sorry to butt in. Just wondering has you previously tested negative or was 12 days late for AF the first time. Did you have any symptoms beforehand? Thank you.

@Carportforme I'd be interested too. I'm 2 day late (have pms) but did a test yday and it was stark white. :(

Carportforme · 09/08/2024 15:20

Still nothing for me, no positive and no sign of AF

Btw for testing and not wasting lots of money id recommend getting a box of wondflo off Amazon. They're about 6 quid for a box of 20 and they have always picked up my pregnancies really early eg 9 days PO. Id say these are better than the first response early result tests and they also always pick up before the digitals too

I tested negative x2 before I got my positive. Unfortunately, it hasn't lasted long and I've had a loss. Currently experiencing excruciating cramps and heavy bleeding with negative tests now :(

TheUniqueMember · 09/08/2024 22:23

I had so many symptoms that can up all at once but a lot of them can be related to your period/pms so it's difficult to tell but I just felt pregnant...

•Over-emotional
•Put off by any food
•Tiredness
•Bloating
•Cramping
•Lower back pain
•Frequent headaches
•Lots of wet discharge
•Nauseous in mouth feeling/metallic taste
•Acne (which I haven't gotten in ages with my periods - usually spot prone but it's been a while)

It all hit me at once - and the only time I've missed my period is when I was pregnant with my first.

@TheUniqueMember so sorry to hear about this. I know what this feels like. I had 3 miscarriages in a row (all early around 6 weeks) until this pregnancy which surprisingly has stuck. I think miscarriages are way more common than people let on, no one seems to talk about it so you feel like it's just you. I think it's just a case of catching a good egg one month. Wishing you luck next time
