Hey all,

My body has left me so confused over the past few days and I have no idea what to think anymore.

So I have irregular cycles and when not on the pill I come on between 14 and 28 of the cycle and it often changes from month to month. I have suspected endometriosis.

My past couple of cycles have been bang on 21 days and so I was expecting AF to arrive last Saturday. However no sign of it.
I will mention that I had my covid booster at the end of my last cycle and I also have no idea when I actually ovulated because of my cycles.

On Monday I started spotting and had a few other symptoms including nausea and fatigue and lower back pain ect. However the spotting was only there when I wiped and not a lot of it.

I woke up this morning and when I went to to toilet I noticed that over night I had gotten heavier and so thought of here's my period it's just a few days late because of my covid jab.

However, I have just gone to the toilet now and it's hardly noticeable on the pad and it's mostly brown staining. There is bits of dark red blood mixed in but not bright red like I normally get on my period. I am very heavy when AF is normally here and on the first day I have to change between every two and three hours. So when I went to the toilet I was expecting to have to change but I didn't need to. Sorry if TMI.

What I am trying to ask is could this still be implantation bleeding as the symptoms are still there or has my body just decided to be weird this month because of the jab. For my first two jabs I was on the pill and so it had no impact on cycles.

Please help!!! Any advice will be very welcomed

No one can know any more than you do tbh, you need to test.

Gillseybear · 02/02/2022 13:06

I tested on Sunday and that was negative. I am going to keep an eye on things and pick up some more tests when I get paid tomorrow. Then yeah on Friday if it's still lighter than normal

Implantation bleeding may be a myth and when people do get bleeding prior to a positive test it is usually a tiny pink smudge and nothing else. Unfortunately this sounds like an unusual period

Yeah I had a feeling that might be the case just dunno what's going on anymore. I wish my body would just make sense

@Gillseybear I hope al settles down for you soon 🤞🏼
I decided not to get my booster as both vaccines appear to have completely changed my cycles. I did fall pregnant end of June start of July last year which sadly ended in a loss a few weeks later.
I went for the first vaccine in August with the second one in November. It just hasn't happened again for me 😭
They say to wait 3 months after the last vaccine and things may go back to normal. But some people can't wait 3 months especially me.
I hope your wishes and dreams come true 💜

@GingerbreadTM

Thank you so much for your kind words. Am sorry to hear about your loss. I have had two of them myself and it's awful. So sending you hugs.
I hope your wishes and dreams come true aswell. Does it really take that long??? My cycles are irregular anyway and so not sure it can get much worse.

On a different note it appears that I have gone back to spotting again and it's mixed with discharge. It's just there when I wipe. Today has been a complete head f**k and I am so confused. Tried talking to my doctors today but they were no help.
I know what's normal for me and this is just not it. I put a clean ST on 4 hours ago and I went to the toilet expecting to need to change it like I normally would. However, there is absolutely nothing on the ST and it's looks like I have just put it on but as I said above there is blood when I wipe

@Gillseybear thank you 🥰
I went from a heavy AF that lasted 5/6 days to a a light AF that now lasts 3/4 days with really bad cramps. If AF arrives this month and it's the same I'm going to contact my GP as it's definitely not normal for me. Keep a log of AF if it arrives and speak with your GP if you need too lovely 💜

@GingerbreadTM thank you so much and I will do. I have no idea if I can class this as AF or not because it's just not normal and so going to contact the doctors tomorrow and see what they say. I am hoping they will actually be helpful but probably not like normal
