Knowing when to test as I have irregular period

Hello all,,

Am hoping you can help. I suffer with what they now suspect to be adenomyosis and my cycles have always been irregular unless I am on the pill. So I have been using Flo to monitor things as it allows me to track my cycles better.

My question is how do I know when to test? I never know when my periods are due. Looking at flo today, it says to test in 21 days if my period does not arrive in 4. Is that because my cycles are so irregular or something else. I always thought you tested on the day of your missed period. Which for me the last few have been 3 weeks apparently so is today but going to leave it a week just until it's been 4 weeks in case.

Sorry just supper confused and Flo is not helping

Looks like your flow app is confused! I’d test 2 weeks after you think you ovulated

@BLM18 I think you might be right there. On was on the mini pill between April and the start of November and so I think it got confused. Two weeks would be next Tuesday and so I shall leave it until then at the earliest

@Gillseybear sounds like a plan . My flow is also confused this month as I had a late postive OPK so it’s thrown of my expected period date but I doubt it will be right as I seem to have regular periods . I stopped pill in sept so I know how you feel

I used ovulation sticks as my periods were so random. That helped me a lot

It's so weird isn't it. I did also wonder if it might be because I had my covid booster jab on the 4th but I came on after I had that and so I am not sure
