VFL 11dpo wish I hadn't tested

I had a chemical earlier this month. Found out I was pregnant at 13dpo but line was very faint (see second photo). Two days later the tests didn't get any darker and my period started.

If I hadn't tested early I would never have known. Promised myself I would hold off next time but I clearly have no self controlSmile

Fast forward a few weeks and I took a test this afternoon, 11dpo (see first photo of FRER test). Now I'm filled with worry this will end in chemical too.

Does my 11dpo test seem faint for this stage? How common are chemical pregnancy?

That looks similar to mine at 12dpo, I don’t think you can tell that early on what is going to happen, fingers crossed it continues to get darker, I tested every other day from there to 18dpo and watched it get darker.
I’ve also had a chemical in the past so totally get the worry.

Thank you for your response.

I plan on doing the same, testing every morning until I feel comfortable.

If you plan to test every day try to compare to 2 days before, I find you add more pressure trying to compare to the previous day and wondering if there is any change but if you always look 2 days back it’s so much easier to tell if there has been a change and helps ease the panicky feeling!!

I’m also 11dpo and got exactly the same as you on a FRER! Hopefully it’s a sticky bean for both of us ❤️

It’s not much different to the FRER I had with my son at the same stage. He’s now coming up 17 months so I think it’s a good line for 11dpo.

Thank you @Crazywithhope I will try and hold off tomorrow morning then test on Sunday and hope to see a much darker line. (Might need to ask DH to hide the tests)

@mooonbaby Congratulations, fingers crossed for us both!

Would definitely recommend every other day, it's a much more obvious increase and you're less likely to drive yourself mad comparing them. Your first FRER photo looks very similar to mine at 11DPO, and I'm now 37 weeks pregnant. Fingers crossed for you Smile

It looks fine to me this is my line I got this morning at 11dpo. I had a mmc at the end of last year so completely understand how you’re feeling! I’m going to test every other day too for a while I think x

Hi @frenchie4002 @mooonbaby @WorriedMum13. Hope you don't mind me asking, but how quickly did your second line shows? I always see the control line first and then the second line takes a minute to come up. Obviously I'm a bit worried about it so am asking you as recent FRER users! 😄

WorriedMum13 · 28/01/2022 18:23

@MrsRosaline I covered my test for the 3 mins but I think it's normal at this early stage for the control line to appear firstSmile

OP posts:
frenchie4002 · 28/01/2022 18:30

@MrsRosaline yes the control line comes up first

mooonbaby · 28/01/2022 19:04

I also covered my test but I think it’s normal for the control line to appear first when it’s early days. The further along you get the test line will start to appear

Thank you @WorriedMum13 @frenchie4002 @mooonbaby that is reassuring. Hope all goes well for you. X

mooonbaby · 29/01/2022 08:43

@WorriedMum13 did you test this morning? How did you get on?

WorriedMum13 · 29/01/2022 09:03
