I’ve noticed I get a positive opk then 12-24hours later ewcm

So have I ovulated when the opk is pos or when I get the ewcm ?

Also if we dtd every day is that enough? What do others do when you get pos opk or ewcm? I’m not sure I exactly understand which means ovulation as I thought they’d be at the same time ?

I think the OPK detects the surge in hormone which will cause your body to ovulate within the next few days. The ewcm also comes at the most fertile period which is again just before ovulation. Just have sex everyday from the positive OPK to be sure.

If you have sex after ovulation then you're probably too late. The sperms have to be there ready and waiting for when the egg comes out. The most fertile period is the 2 days before ovulation and maybe the day of ovulation. After ovulation occurs you will notice the ewcm dries up pretty quickly.

Ok I think I understand- so the opk detects the hormone that triggers the ewcm and then ovulation ? So it’s like two ‘alerts’ really ?

And sperm live for 24 hours ?

Yes they're both happening around the same time and an indicator that you are fertile. Sperm can live up to five days.

I had more success with every other day, from a few days before you get the positive opk. A circular clear patch of wet discharge is the best indicator in my opinion.
