So I'm in the process of having this investigated but I currently have covid so that's slowing down appointments. In the mean time, I wondered if anyone has experienced something similar.
Last week, my period started around the time it should - if not a day out. I had done a pregnancy a day or two before and it was negative. The period was slower to start from when the cramps first began, but I bled just as heavy and as long as normal (3/4 days). Then three days after it finished, I started to have brownish discharge. I then woke up last night with some pain so I went to the toilet and when I wiped, there was blood. I called my GP and they suggested doing a pregnancy test although we both assumed this would be negative. It showed up positive instantly. Second test showed the same. Ectopic pregnancy has been pretty much ruled out, but it's up in the air whether I'm miscarrying. I've had an EM before, and bled much heavier than I am now. It's not enough for a sanitary towel, but it's dark red when I wipe. I've got to wait to test neg on two lateral flows before I can be seen by the early pregnancy unit, so it's a waiting game until then.
This feels like such a strange and unlikely scenario. I've googled as much as I can but can't find anyone who has experienced this. If anyone can give me any idea, just something to get me through the next few days, I'd really appreciate it. Good news or bad news, I'll take anything.
