Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone is in a similar situation and would like some company while TTC #2.

My story:
DD is 18 months and had a MC at 9 weeks back in November. Had positive on a Frer this month but since had period so hoping it was a chemical and not still hormones left from MC. Had negatives on clear blue and will retest on frer at weekend.

We weren’t trying when we got pregnant with MC but starting to try at the start of the year so I am heading in ti month 2 of trying.

would love to hear from some people in similar situations

Hi! So sorry to hear about your MC Flowers

I'm TTC number 2 too and this was our first month, but pretty sure my body skipped ovulation this month so fully expecting AF around next Monday.

Fingers crossed for a Feb BFP!

Do you think you'll skip TTC March/April if we're not lucky in Feb? I'm worried about the potential for an Xmas day baby!

Stargazer89 · 26/01/2022 19:21

Hi @Yellowdott thanks for reply.

Fingers crossed this month is lucky for you. The month I got pregnant with MC we didn’t dtd near when I thought I was ovulating, so you never know! Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

How old is your little one?

I had started to think about potentially skipping March but I don’t know if I want to waste a month?!?!

Fingers crosssd we get our BFPs before then so don’t need to worry about it!

I am also currently TTC number 2. I had a miscarriage in June last year.. and unfortunately just experienced another one. Fingers crossed the next one sticks.

Bubblesandballoons · 26/01/2022 20:09

Hey @Stargazer89 we have very similar experiences. I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in December and am now having a chemical this month. Have negative tests now just waiting for my body to work it out. Hoping it hurries up so we can try next month. I am avoiding March, only because my ds is a December baby and I don’t want two in December. My ds is 13 months.
Hopefully this next month will be a lucky one for all of us 🤞🏻

Stargazer89 · 26/01/2022 20:55

hi @Red2017 and @Bubblesandballoons sorry to hear that you have both experienced pregnancy loss too.
Are you all tracking ovulation? I wanted it to just happen naturally without giving it too much thought but after the MC and chemical I can now see myself getting all too consumed!!

Hey! Reading your story I had to reassure myself that I’m not in fact reading something I wrote myself.

We are trying to concieve our second baby, our first is just over 18 months. Got pregnant again in August, but sadly miscarried this baby in October. We have been trying ever since with no luck.

My cycles are all over the place, last one lasting merely 19 days so likely I never even had a chance to get pregnant. Attempted OPK’s but didnt get enough and then lost track so relying on the Flo app for predictions, currently in the TWW, but terrified my period will come early again.

Red2017 · 26/01/2022 21:06

@Stargazer89

I haven't been tracking my ovulation with OPKs or BBT. I've just been using the flo app and logging my menstrual cycle which makes ovulation predictions and kind of work it around that.

Bubblesandballoons · 26/01/2022 21:12

@Stargazer89 I’d like to say I won’t, but I know once my miscarriage is over I’ll be tempted this time 🙈.

Yellowdott · 30/01/2022 05:56

Thank you, @Stargazer89!

My LO is 2.5. I got a BFP today 2 days before period is due so I must have been wrong about ovulation!

I've got my fingers crossed for you that you'll get your BFP this cycle and that it sticks! Same to all other ladies here Smile

Stargazer89 · 30/01/2022 08:42

congratulations @Yellowdott that’s amazing news!
I did a pregnancy test yesterday to check that levels have all evened out so that we can try this month but I was shocked to see a strong positive. I am so confused so going to call the doctor in the morning.

Wow, surely that means you are pregnant again since you had negatives before? Did you DTD this month?

Stargazer89 · 30/01/2022 08:59

I thought i had what was a chemical this month. I had very slight positive last friday and then had what I thought was a period so assumed it was a chemical. I then texted yesterday (8 days after first) thinking line would have gone so that can try this month and was shocked to see a stronger positive. My worry is that it could be eptopic because if I am pregnant from last cycle then I should be almost 6 weeks going by dates so would have expected stronger positive last week and then yesterday. Also because of the big bleed. Have attached both tests.

In my last pregnancy I found out when I was 5-6 weeks and my line was like yours!

Congratulations! Grin

Can you get booked in for an early scan? They should offer this given you've had an early bleed and previous MC (I have a few friends who had early bleeding and their pregnancies carried on with no problem!)

Stargazer89 · 30/01/2022 10:13

I had like a period bleed though, I have heard spotting is normal but mine was red and heavy? Trying to stay positive but also don’t want to get hopes up. Will call doctor tomorrow and see if they can book me in.

Anyway how are you feeling? do you have any symptoms?

OP posts:
Yellowdott · 31/01/2022 11:04

That sounds very confusing, so hope the doctor can give you some answers today! Could you self refer to EPU for a scan?

I'm currently feeling pretty anxious that I've tested way too early as I haven't missed my period yet and my BPF line is very very faint and only really becomes clear close to 4-5 minutes. I wish I'd waited until after I missed my period so I could feel excited rather than wondering if it might be a chemical! Period due between today and Thurs/Fri since my cycles are a bit irregular.

Fingers crossed you get good news this week! I have read on here of lots of women who had red blood and went on to have healthy pregnancies.

Yellowdott · 06/02/2022 16:26

How are you doing, @Stargazer89? Hope all is well!

Stargazer89 · 06/02/2022 18:24

Hi @Yellowdott I am ok thanks. I went to EPU last week on Tuesday and then again Thursday for bloods. They are low but increased so just got to wait now until my scan that’s booked in for 2 weeks time. I don’t feel like this is a viable pregnancy because dates don’t really add up unless a late implantation means I am not as far gone?!? very worried about ectopic!
How are you feeling?

OP posts:
Yellowdott · 07/02/2022 08:53

That's so annoying having to wait 2 full weeks for a scan and being stuck in limbo until then! Is it because you will be about 6 weeks by then and they can't really see anything before then?

Have you got any signs of ectopic? Have you tried to continue testing to see if the lines get darker or would that be too stressful?

Hoping all will be well at your scan Flowers

I'm okay! 5 weeks today but not a lot of symptoms other than nausea in the evenings. And you?

Goose4 · 07/02/2022 09:26

Can I join please?

We started TTC #2 in October and I've just had an early miscarriage (5-6 weeks). My DS will be 2 in a few weeks, and I was so looking forward to having 2.5 years between them but obviously my uterus had other ideas 😩. Hoping to start TTC again as soon as I can.

Fingers crossed that all the positive tests on this thread are sticky beans 🤞

Stargazer89 · 07/02/2022 15:49

welcome @Goose4! so sorry to hear about your MC it’s a horrible time isn’t it. Hope you are looking after yourself.

@Yellowdott it’s very annoying waiting the 2 weeks, I am not confident at all because of dates not adding up. I just want whatever it is to be to just happen so can move forward. Glad you are doing well, do you think you will book in an early scan? x
