Does being on the pill increase chances of a multiple pregnancy?

I was just thinking about this the other day!
I’m not very science-brained so might be TOTALLY wrong here but my thought process is:

A woman has a finite number of eggs, and being on the pill stops ovulation, so do the eggs “stay in the ovaries” as such?
Women closer to the menopause have a higher chance of multiples (I think?!) because their body is releasing all of their eggs in preparation for the menopause.
Surely, if a woman has been on the pill for, say 10 years, when she comes off it, her body will start to release multiple eggs each month earlier in her lifetime?
Like I say I might be COMPLETELY wrong here, but I’ve googled it and not found an answer!
Anyone got any thoughts?

I’d of thought the egg would still be released but dies off very quickly, people on the pill can still get pregnant…

Depends what kind of pill you have so the combined pill blocks up your cervix and stops sperm getting in so you'd still release eggs I think

I was on the combined pill for 12 years and planning to TTC from September! I’m concerned about not being able to get pregnant OR having twins in equal part haha! Thank you!
