Honestly I'm so bloody down today and AF hasn't even arrived yet but its on it way!!

I do the clear blue digital ovulation testes, i eat right, dont drink much, take my vitamins. Have sex every other day leading up to ovulation and do it both days on the stil smiley days ( we even did it everyday the last two months) husbands had sperm anylised it's normal. yet we just can't get pregnant after the MC in march.

I just feel like theres somthing wrong but beacuse we have one child we can't get help yet, think we have another 14 months till i can have test's.

Please tell me what you're doing to get pregnant.

Took me 9 cycles to get pregnant with second. I scrapped the ovulation tests and app and had sex every oday from the day I came off my period for 16 days and then again a couple of days after (this was actually not fun!).. This was the month I got pregnant. I had to have an early dating scan at 5 weeks and they put me forward 5 days so my ovulation sticks had been lying to me! And I had been ovulating earlier than expected. No wonder it took so long, I was just having sex in my ‘fertile’ window.

AdultingInTheCountryside · 19/01/2022 22:40

When you have sex and he cums do you elevate yourself onto a pillow for ten minutes to help the sperm go/stay in? Highly recommend it, I did every time.

namechange5575 · 19/01/2022 22:42

Are you doing body temps to check you are actually ovulating?

I have three, first and third conceived quickly, second took a year. It was awful and so demoralising. In the end I tried guaifenesin (not sure if that helped) and then that spermicide friendly lube - preseed - think that may have helped. Sorry you are going through this, it was all I could think about for the year xx

whatworksforyou · 19/01/2022 23:02

Sorry to be blunt, but if you're a stone overweight then I would target that, get your BMI towards 25. Excess weight can affect several aspects of fertility........being overweight wont always affect fertility, but it won't help and is something concrete you can address

lakejupiter · 19/01/2022 23:05

There's gotta be a more supportive way of phrasing that @whatworksforyou - OP has said she's struggling.

faithfulbird20 · 19/01/2022 23:10

Give up all that stress...the strips the healthy eating etc etc don't give a crap about anything...relax and just have sex...I know loads of people have conceived when they haven't given a toss about conceiving. Sorry to be blunt.

Conspiracyornotr · 20/01/2022 07:58

Because by stressing you are not helping I'm entitled to a comment Angry

Conspiracyornotr · 20/01/2022 07:59

When I wanted my 1st child I would cry and be upset when it didn't happen then I gave up hope and it happened!!! I am aloud to speak without being made I'm saying something wrong everyone is different!!!!

fairgame84 · 20/01/2022 08:23

@Conspiracyornotr
Have you rtft? There are posters on here with genuine fertility problems so telling them not to stress is not helpful. Trying not to think about it will not fix my husbands low sperm count and it won't fix another's posters ovulation problems.
You are allowed to say what you like but equally I can say that's it's unhelpful and patronising.

Conspiracyornotr · 20/01/2022 08:26

Well that's your opinion to think that 🤔 I'm saying what I feel is right and should be accepted if I am not saying anything that s not bad . Loads of people are in the same situation and by stressing about it you may be making it worser on your body

Conspiracyornotr · 20/01/2022 08:27

I don't see u saying anything to anyone else that's said stuff . Out of.order bully

Rina66 · 20/01/2022 08:35

I've heard a few people talk about conception cups and that they conceived using them - although I'm not sure you could ever really know if it was the cup, but I think as it's relatively non invasive, it must be worth trying - scarlettsworld on Instagram talked about her use of one and subsequent conception.

faithfulbird20 · 20/01/2022 10:18

@Conspiracyornotr I agree. We had low sperm count. Husband was distraught. He got given some pills. But guess what? That same week even before taking the pills. We conceived when we had given up hope and didn't care! We have 2 children now.

Maybe, but it's the elephant in the room.

If you're going to do all the other stuff to try improve fertility that has questionable efficacy, then atleast tackle something (being overweight) that has some science behind it.
Improving nutrition and weight can be a positive action that the OP can control, whereas lots of other things in relation to fertility are out of control

GingerFox2021 · 20/01/2022 10:36

I feel so stressed just thinking of all this not happening, that it tires me out so much. I have just started Reflexelogy to calm me down. At least I’m relaxed during the session.
Definitely, stress is not helping and I feel I’m very tired just thinking about TTC all the time.

whymewhyme · 20/01/2022 14:59

DH sperm analysis is withing normal range so thats not a issue, regarding weight i am 10stone so i am about 1 stone over weight and I do need to lose this. Regarding stressing, i have stressed alot but now i just feel low.

Last day of AF today so my plan of action is to do the deed every other day and im not doing ovulation testing this month i just dont see the point of spending 25quid on test that dont help! Lol. Thanks for the support and advice.

Sounds like you're doing everything you can, just to reassure you that I fell pregnant on cycle 3 for my first but it took 15 cycles to get pregnant with a second but it happened eventually.

namechange5575 · 20/01/2022 19:52

Why are you spending £25 on ovulation testing?! Get the internet cheapies from Amazon, like £5 for 50, do them everyday if you like. But do the temping and plotting, you really do need to know when you have ovulated.

But for sure have a few months off and don't think about it, that's a valid approach too.
