Is it harder to conceive the second baby?

Is it? What are your experiences with trying/conceiving the second child?

I conceived cycle 1 with DD. Onto cycle 6 TTC#2 and no BFPs yet.

Conceived 3rd with DS , conceived 2nd time with DD, although had conceived on first try but had early miscarriage. Conceived 1st time with 3rd baby. All conceived through Donor IUI

I don’t think there’s a definitive answer. I conceived my second baby easily, but I know others for whom it took a while, and some people with secondary infertility.

It was the opposite for me. 32-37 spent ttc first child, several rounds of ivf and miscarriages. Second child was the unexpected result of one night without contraception aged 40!

Dc1 = cycle 1 age 31
Dc2 = cycle 4 age 33 (almost 34)

Ok thanks for answering, it's good to hear most people managed fine. I've conceived 2x but both ended up in chemical pregnancies. I'm 33 and after reading about secondarily infertility, I don't feel I fit into the description. And I conceive baby no1 fairly easily. I'm just hoping it's gonna happen soon, feel like my life is on hold!

I conceived DC1 in the first cycle.
TTC#2 now and we’ll soon be entering the 5th cycle

I got pregnant with my first having sex once.
Trying for number 2 for 1,5 years and nothing yet.

First one 5 months, second one 2 years

Conceived both first cycle, first aged 35 second aged 40
