Soft cervix for 5+ days - early pregnancy sign?

I'm definitely not ovulating. My CM is thick and sticky/creamy, so not fertile at all. That being said, my cervix is medium/high and super soft. Has been since then 2nd (could've been earlier, didn't check it before then). I know it's not a good indication of pregnancy, but I'm pretty familiar with my cervix at this point and it's never been this soft when AF has been due before, especially for 5 days straight. In fact, it's never this soft even when I am ovulating so something seems to be up.

Could this mean I'm pregnant? I took a FRER on the 3rd which was negative but then had the tiniest amount of spotting on the 3rd and 4th which could have been implantation meaning I tested too early. When should I do another test?

When are you due your period, if it was implementation spotting you should get a positive test if you took one now. Goodluck

@Babyghirl I'm not sure honestly. I'm currently on CD41, expected it around 11 days ago but evidently I didn't ovulate when I thought I did! Thank you though, I was going to hold off doing a test until Saturday but that's getting harder and harder to do.

Do you think I should do a FRER or just a cheapie?

Frer is the best one to do so I say do one of them, come back and let me know how you get on 💐

@hereforthefood similar position, my cervix feels really soft, AF is now 2 days late and I’m on CD29😬 I’m trying not to test because I’m scared of being let down after all I’ve had is negatives for the last 7 cycles!

AF also arrive on CD29 last month right after I did a test so I’m worried about that! Finger crossed it doesn’t come!

@Chlo1995 Hey, welcome! Hopefully a soft cervix is good news for both of us! Do you know when you ovulated? If you're definitely late based on ovulation I would definitely be testing if I were you lol! Maybe we can be test buddies?

@hereforthefood I’ve no idea, I know a rough date but I stopped testing a month or two ago because I was putting too much stress on myself with it😂 I just track my periods and hope for the best!

@Babyghirl @Chlo1995 So I chickened out of doing my last FRER because I convinced myself it would be negative and it would be wasted.

I did pop by boots and grab some cheap strip tests though! Negative as I expected, quite disheartened tbh but technically it could still be early (or not have happened at all😔)

I think I may be out, I’ve had a little brown discharge (sorry, tmi!!) this afternoon, but no bleeding following on from that.

Brown discharge is good! It's old blood and I always see people saying it's likely to be implantation bleeding! Maybe you ovulated later than you thought you did? Hopefully it doesn't develop into AF

The cheapies aren't as sensitive as the frer so don't count out yet, this ttc malarkey is awful isn't it lol, I have been trying 3 years now and all I have to show for it is 4 miscarriages and 1 cp, try to relax and do not stress don't forget to live while ttc because it can take up to a year for it to happen.

@hereforthefood I’m really hoping so, I’m not going to test (well try!!) I’ll just wait and see if AF comes, fingers crossed it doesn’t🤞🏼 It’s possible I did ovulate later as I obviously don’t know exact dates, we’ll see!

@Babyghirl yeah I'm hoping it's just the fact that I'm just testing too early with a less sensitive test, will hopefully be testing tomorrow morning with a FRER (as long as I don't chicken out again🙄). So sorry to hear about your TTC situation. Can't imagine the pain you must have felt. Have you spoken to a doctor about it? Sending baby dust your way

@Chlo1995 has af started for you yet? Also, and I apologise for the intrusive question, but how's your cervix? TMI mines still squishy soft and my vaginal walls are super swollen atm. Really hoping this is a good sign🤞

@Chlo1995 oh no I'm so sorry to hear that😔 we're on cycle 5 of casually trying, I also expected something to have come of it by now but I guess it's all down to luck of the draw. I really hope you get your BFP next month, a lovely valentine's Day gift for you and your partner❤️

Yea I have had all tests and investigations now on top off list for ivf so hopefully that gives me my rainbow baby, just remember girls it's like 30% to happen every month and can take up to a year or longer for couples to conceive so don't put pressure on yourself 💐

Update for me: had a bit of EWCM last night, so on the off chance it's something we DTD again. When I went to the loo afterwards there was one drop of blood on my tissue so expected AF this morning, currently nothing though. I also did another boots cheapie strip which came out negative :(

I didn't get around to doing my FRER this morning as I overslept and had to leave for work immediately. Interestingly, this is the 4th day in a row where I've struggled to get out of bed🤔 I had 8 hours sleep last night and should've been fine to get up, but I just couldn't do it... Hoping this is a sign.

In terms of my cervix and CM; cervix is still super soft (day 7 now!) And has risen up about an inch or so from yesterday, really having to do some acrobatics to find it now.
My CM has been... interesting. I had some seriously gloopy/stretchy clear stuff earlier today which has now gone back to a medium amount of creamy. Unsure what this means but I have had EWCM a couple of days prior to AF's arrival before so I imagine it can't be anything good. Will let y'all know whether I get AF or a BFP!
