My first time posting so I hope it's in the right place. After 2 miscarriages in 8 months 1 at 6 weeks 6 days last one at Christmas at 9 weeks after 3 years trying, I'm really loosing hope on the scan we saw heartbeat I'm gutted. Small fibroid was seen at the scan but was told it was nothing to worry about, Was it that?? Why does it feel like it will never happen?? SadSad

I lost my first baby at 17 weeks, then had a successful pregnancy. I then had 2 consecutive miscarriages at 6 and 8 weeks, before conceiving my second child. I'm sorry you are going through this, but please do not give up hope. As others have said, it may be worth getting a private appointment with a specialist to do some exploratory investigations to see if there is anything going on. In my case they were pretty much unexplained, although the last miscarriage they think may have been due to an infection.

@Glendaruel

I'm writing this holding my 1 year old daughter as she drifts back to sleep. I had two miscarriages before her. The pain and fear doesn't leave you, as you know things can go wrong. But hope drives you through. I tried to be open about the miscarriages as I found it easier to deal with and thought it was more helpful for others experiencing it. My cousin miscarried and didn't realise just how common it is until people mentioned their experience.I

Good luck!!

Awh how lovely 🥰, Congratulations, Yes it seems to be more common than I first thought. Stories like yours give me so much hope thank you 🙏

@pastaparadise

Sorry for your losses, its so painful.

I had 2 early m/c. Luckily got tested 9n the NHS and diagnosed with anti phospholipid syndrome. Was started on blood thinners in subsequent pregnancies and now have 2 dc. Sooo grateful to the Dr who suggested I get tested.

It does make subsequent pregnancies quite stressful, but lots of people get there so try to stay positive.

Thank you so much for sharing, And Congratulations on your babies, I'm hoping to start having tests in February 🤞.

@TimeForTheChristmasTree

Sorry about your losses OP, and best of luck going forward.

It took 10 months ttc for DD. She was born at 32 weeks, so traumatic, so we didn’t think about adding another baby for years. It then took 12 months ttc for the next pregnancy to end at 6 weeks, another 12 months ttc for another miscarriage around 6 weeks. Then a few more months ttc DS (who is now 1). Born prematurely too, but here, and we are forever grateful.

We’d given up to be honest, so many months and years spent staring at ovulation sticks and pregnancy tests. I had a procedure to put dye into my tubes, to be checked, and I got pregnant the next month.

Best wishes to you xxx

That's exactly how I feel right now!!, So sick of ovulation tests and pregnancy tests, Thank you for your reply it's given me hope 🤞🤞.

I had three miscarriages after my second child then a trouble free pregnancy and healthy third child x

Pinchofnom · 09/01/2022 23:31

Sending you a handhold OP. I had multiple miscarriages before a successful pregnancy.
I was undergoing tests with the hospital but then became pregnant.

DP and I are in discussion over whether we should have another but I am anxious over the possibility of further miscarriages so I completely understand you being worried.

I hope 2022 will be your year.

Lacedwithgrace · 09/01/2022 23:41

I had a stillborn daughter, then my living daughter (now 7) then 6 miscarriages. Now I'm suprisingly pregnant without ttc, progressing nicely and have no complications so far.
SIL is pregnant after 2 mmc and is due any day.
It is possible, it can happen but it's difficult and it's normal to feel so upset x
