Patiently Waiting to start TTC Journey for Baby #2 - Anyone Else

Morning!

My DH and I have spoken about TTC Baby #2 for a while now. We both work in demanding jobs and I know, practically, my workload would need to change if we were lucky enough to have a second child.

I’m currently still on the pill but really want to come off so I can start regulating my cycles etc. Anyone else in the same position of patiently waiting to start their TTC journey?

Hi there @OCM19,
My son has just turned 2 and we have also started ttc #2. I was on the pill and came off at the end of November as it usually takes 3 months to regulate cycles after.
I also started taking seven seas Trying for a baby vitamins again since November. Last cycle had all the symptoms you can imagine and really believe that I had a Chemical pregnancy as I had almost positive pregnancy tests before AF arrived - the same happened on cycle 1 when trying for my son and went on to conceive cycle 2.

How old is your 1st? When are you planning on starting ttc?

Hi @AmberRH1993 great to chat to someone in a similar position. Sorry to hear you may have had a chemical pregnancy Flowers.

How long did your cycles take to regulate? With our DS I was very lucky to fall pregnant very quickly so nervous to stop the pill too soon!

Our DS is 3 in March so not too dissimilar to your age gap. I absolutely loved my pregnancy and birth before, but they had to cut me as he was bradycardia and they cut into my Labia (not intentionally) so the recovery was horrendous.

I am going to get some folic acid etc this week and hopefully we will be in a position to start TTC around Easter. X

Thank you, it happened the first time ttc with my son so I was anticipating it to happen again this time.

To be fair, my withdrawal bleed/AF started on 27th November and AF arrived on 28th December so it regulated right away. I think its just my ovulation that's taken 2 more weeks to start up again hence why I'm doing opks to pin point if I'm actually ovulating on time with my apps. The first cycle off the pill was tricky as I had awful mood swings and lots of strange symptoms but feeling better now starting cycle 2.

I was the same ttc my son, it happened very quickly so let's see this cycle 👍🏼
Hopefully get our bfp this month to get a sep/Oct due date as my sons birthday is 23rd December and want to have some time apart in their birthdays.

I also had a tricky labour... Pushed for too long as I have a pelvic tilt and baby couldn't come down resulting in episiotomy in theatre - the after pain of the stitches made me so miserable for weeks.

Have you thought about your next labour? Is there any you'd do differently?

Hi @AmberRH1993, sorry for the delay! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

I actually loved my labour, so wouldn’t do anything differently…just maybe make sure a different doctor is present Hmm apparently a similar case was reported by the same doctor!
