Hey ladies happy new year I just wanted to ask for the ladies that have been on the depo injection that lasts 12 weeks when you stopped taking it how long did it take you to fall pregnant again also when did you get your period back as I've read different stories of people not getting periods after 4 months and some falling pregnant straight away as the doctor had told me you can only have infertility problems with the depo injections if you have them for more than a year plus but I've only had 2 top ups and I've been off it since October which is when my last top up was due but no period yet and currently waiting to see in the next couple weeks if I'm pregnant
ANY ADVICE

Hi, to be completely honest with you the depo ruins everything I’ve read a lot of story’s coming of the depo myself and not many of them are good. I came of the depo 08/03/21 so almost 10 months ago and have only had one period in November for it not to return again. My doctor reached out to a specialist and he said it’s completely normal it can take 18 months to regain regular periods to ttc however some people do get pregnant straight away. I’d love to give you better news but for me personally it gets harder and harder everyday wanted a child but knowing it’s more than likely not going to happen for a long time.
I’m only just 20 and doctors given me a clean bill of health so I guess you just have to be lucky best of luck to you and your family

I had my last depo injection Aug 2018 and was due my next in Nov 18 but decided to TTC. Periods returned in Jan 2019 and I found out I was pregnant Aug 2019.

It does take a while and can be very frustrating as my first few cycles were all over the place but did eventually settle.

I had my first depo in March 21, I had just given birth and caught me on the spot so agreed. I wish I had never had now as bled non stop for 4months. Personally, never again would I have it. Periods came back regularly from August but I am sure the depo has messed up my ovulation. Been TTC since August and no luck yet but like others have said it could take a year or so

Hey I'm on same boat as you had depo twice was due on the 20th of December but didn't get it. I have Been bleeding sice the 19th. 14 days bleed not sure what's going on. Iv read alot that you don't get withdrawl bleed from depo and if it's a break through bleed it only lasts a few days. Would love to hear everyone else's comments.

Well I've spoken to the sexual health gp who said it's only a problem for infertility if women have had over a year of depo injections but having just a couple shots are fine I've been having some symptoms of sensitive npples, twitches of pain in my stomach I had this with my first pregnancy very early on but it's only been 11 days since having unprotected s*x which we did use the pull out method but my partner said he's not to sure if some did go inside of me nervous waiting to test but keep having the feeling I'm pregnant
